I know people say communism can only work in theory, but, true communism has never had a chance in a non-peace envirnoment. I truly believe had lenin not died prematurely we would've seen the true communism...does anyone agree that communism may work if there is no threat of war and you have someone who is willing to step down as a 'leader' when its up and running?

Places like Tennessee, Indiana, Missouri, all of these Mideastern states. Why are these states so poor in accordance with the other states. On top of that these very poor states want to charge an arm and a leg to customers. (Economy within the state) I'm thinking seriously about moving someone has to do something about this or I'm going to have to move to a better state with a better economy and higher paying jobs. I guess a big city.

I don't have a problem with people who immigrate to the U.S. to secure for themselves the American way of life. I do have a problem with people who come to the U.S. to be Mexican (or whatever country they are from) instead of an American.

So again, I don't understand why people come live in the U.S. and wave the Mexican flag, continue to speak Spanish, and do not assimilate in to the American culture. If Mexico were so great people wouldn't be fleeing it to come to the U.S. and people would be fleeing the U.S. to go there. The problem we have now with the illegals from Mexico is not "immigration", it is "colonization".

Please don't defend the criminal behavior of law breaker who come to this country illegally. I just want to know why they claim they love their own country so much that they refuse to live in it.

If the terrorists want our govt to crack down on us, and basically change our lifestyle in various ways via govt expansion (fingers ears and eyes in peoples private lives)....Are they winning in this way?

*Please dont argue about the methods of intrusion by govt. I simply want to know if in that way you think terrorists have accomplished part of what they want.

This is a good thing for America. Our civil rights will be restored and America will be a better place.

The republicans really smeared their reputation by defending sexual criminal predator Foley. Their true colors appeared.

I thought republicans hate gays and now a republican congressman is gay. Kind of a double standard dont you think?

Each party serves itself and its corporate masters, NOT the needs of the people. Just look at the recent revelations about those "family-values" loving Republicans.

I want to challenge the system and convert to a multi-party parliamentary system which forces coalition-building and more centrist policies. Are you with me? Do you have creative ideas on where to begin?

Mr. Rangel, NY Rep (D) was quoted: "You don't come into my country; you don't come into my congressional district and criticize my president." He was talking about Chavez.

If more democrats behaved in this manner, would it improve the US morale? World opinion? Thoughts?
