Having as high an IQ as I do has often served as a bind. I would contemplate taking the "nitwit" label so graciously bestowed by "CONVINCED" in exchange for feeling great about the State of this sorry Union. That said, I remain unconvinced! :) Thanks for taking the time...

BIG IRV - I think you are accurate. I heard that Woodward's new book addressesthe issue..that prompted my question. Apparently DADDYO is absolutely tormented and horrified by what the little un has been up to. ALthough I could not stand his politics, I do believe he had a good measure of honor.

GHWB - You want to say grace son?
GWB - Can I daddy?
BB - Oh christ not again.
LB - Shut up granny
GWB - Lard - thank you for making us so preposterous. We desrve every penny for our hard work in defeating the communist pestilence examplified by the liberal trash infesting our guverment and soceye-t. Bless this holy war in eyeraq, and send all the insturgents straight to the fire as soon as we finish tortrin them. Bless Dick, Condo, Tom, Trent, Jack, Speedy Gonzalez, and most specialty Karl. Protect our jews, our nigras, and our beaners from votin. In Jeebus name, amen.
GHWB - Very nice son. Wasn't that a great blessing everyone?
KR - He forgot the part about saving us from prosecution.
LB - Kids, do you want some sauteed long pig? Fresh from Iraq this morning!
Twins (in unison) - No mom, we prefer the PageRump with Santorum sauce!
BB - I'm going to throw up.

I didn't vote for Daddy Bush and I don't think he was a very good president. That said, I believe that, in his heart, Daddy Bush is a man of honor. Unfortunately the same can't be said of his offspring. I think Daddy Bush is probably horrified at what his son has done. Barbara really needs to sit down and straighten that egomamiac out.

Well, based upon an interview Bush, Sr. and his daughter, Doro, gave on Larry King, they don't discuss politics when they get together. Supposedly the only talk about fishing, etc. I am repeating what they said in their interview.

As far as what Bush, Sr thinks about the war? I am sure he thinks it was a bad idea. He and those that were advising him during Desert Storm thought that going into Iraq was not an option because there is no way out. Unfortunately, his son didn't heed the warnings from those that were in his father's administration. Dubya is drunk on power and an idiot...a lethal combination

I saw Bill Mahr pose this last night... Odd that a Bush family get together would not involve a political conversation.. at least that is what they claim..I don't buy that..
I'm sure W is doing exactly as Daddy wants.. I firmly believe he's still running the country.. I know he always hangs out with the Saudis, in particular the bin Laden clan..

They say they dont discuss politics which I can believe. I cant imagine the father making the same mistakes as this son has made. He must be a huge disappointment to his father.

I didnt like either Bush, but this one has to be the worst president ever.

The conversation at the Thanksgiving table should go like this:

DADDY BUSH: (concerned)
Son...what is wrong with you? There are a lot of poor decisions coming out of the Oval Office and your mother and I have been talking. We believe you need a thorough psychiatric evaluation!

BUSH: (cheerful)
Aw, Daddy..aint' nothing wrong with me! My physics is working just fine...just fine!

DADDY BUSH: (serious)
Son...I'm not talking about physics, I'm talking general psychiatrics...

BUSH: (cheerful)
I know, that's what I said...physics!

BARBARA BUSH: (concerned)
Georgie dear...Daddy thinks you need to have your head examined and I concur!

BUSH: (serious)
I examined my head this morning when I went to the bathroom and it doesn't look conquered to me! I mean...it's a little red at the tip, but not conquered!

BARBARA BUSH: (serious)
Son...look at me when I talk to you...'cause I want you to understand every word coming out of my mouth!

BUSH: (serious)
Mother, I've been watching your mouth for a lot of years and frankly, the sight makes my stomach churn!

BARBARA BUSH: (offended)
Well I never...!

BUSH: (serious)
Gee Mom...you really should. YOU need to consider getting some dental work...you know...a good drilling wouldn't hurt.

DADDY BUSH: (excited)
Please believe me when I say this...but, your mother has had all of the drilling she can stand and then some!

BUSH: (blushing)
Aw, Daddy!

I'm positive all Daddybush will be doing is complaining about the lack of "good help" these days and whining that the government hasn't named an airport after him. He'll further whine about the lack of public schools with his name on them.

Then, he and his boys will go outside and instruct their servants to throw some of the table leftovers to the homeless.

Afterwords , they retire to the study and celebrate the destruction of our Constitution.

the bush family will be very big year to year. bush (george h.w. bush) will most likely see see the president gerorge w. bush and jeb and their wives and their kids for thanksgiving and talk about almost everything and anything that pertains to politics.

i will assume that they reunite either in texas or in florida because it is the two states that the bush family controls all of the electorial votes.
