Two responses to an important question, I feel it needs a closer look.

Direct quotes from my last post on this subject.

Common arguments with liberals that go on for 30 mins or so end up past 9/11, past Iraq, bush, kerry, suicide bombings -

they all end up with the final point: Is there such a thing as Mid-East moderates?

To prove your mindless babble had a point ? You always hear these geeks saying things like "It's not if it happens but when it happens"..
I for one would see any act of terror on the United States main Land as a complete failure on the part of Bush and Homeland security.. I pray that nothing ever happens here again but if it does you people will have no credibility (not that you have any now)

Ok, all of you that continually claim we should be out of Iraq, draw back to our own borders, and stop bothering people in the Mid East in order to improve out own safety: Do you honestly think that is going to work?

Just what do you plan to offer the al Qaeda's and Irans of the world? What is you bargaining chip?

I ask this because I don't see how you negotiate with a group that has openly proclaimed their goal is the end of Western Civilization and complete destruction of the United States, specifically.

We (the US) did not provoke this opinion/goal. The Islamic facists don't even claim we did. They claim it is the order to "kill the infadels" and spread Islam at all costs to all corners of the world. Their recent statements regarding the pope indicate as much.

So what will you offer them to leave you alone?

I ask this because every question I ask that shows the inadequacy and downright incompetence of this administration results in accusations of Terrorism, being called a foreigner, accused of having a direct line to Osama B L, called a Bush Hater, anti-American and worse.

This is not a partisan question, but all the insults seem to come from Conservative supporters. I just need an answer.

Can't someone be a proud American but still point out the error of our ways?

Where are they?
"They're afraid of getting their heads chopped off"
Oh well, that's OK, we'll just get ours chopped off - no.

If they silently tolerate it, they support it, and if they support it, it's a war is it not?

Prove me wrong. Show me these muslims that want to fight terrorists. you'll find ten or twenty.

Okay...before you blow you top with me...let me give you my view point.

Children YES, no question. I WEAR my seat-belt, I always have..it's a smart thing that may save my life and I believe everyone should.

but, should it be FORCED on us by our government with the threat they will extract $100-$300 everytime they "catch" us violating one of their "Protect me from myself laws". Speaking as an adult shouldn't I have the simple right not to put on my seat-belt...it's a simple choice that belongs to ME...not government bureacrats who don't give a damn about us. These safety laws a designed to make them $$$ and that is the simple fact..a hidden tax. In my state alone they rasied 136 million in fines and the accident rate and mortality rate is unchanged for the past 9 years. What has changed is millions in THEIR pockets...and with a sheep-like mentality they believe this is somehow savings lives..SEAT-BELT do save lives but it should be our choice..laws don't save lives..choices do!

too bad the NeoCons aren't finally able to be "man enough" to admit all the lying going on. They would rather join Tom Delay and Duke Cunnigham in Club Fed.
Don't forget, Clinton's lie was excused and the official word was it was a case "without merit".

Time to wake up from the fantasy world of pathetic, weak right wing spin.

These two leaders are Democratically elected Presidents of nations with a deep sense of wisdom.

Do you think maybe they are right when they talk about U.S. Imperialism trying to control the world?

No other country has military bases on on every major continent. We try to tell everyone what to do, and we threaten them with sanctions or war, if they don't.

At one time the USA gave money to every, and any, world leader that wasn't communist. Including Saddam Hussein, the Taliban, Pinochet, the Shah of Iran, etc. EACH ONE OF THEM WERE HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSERS, THAT TORTURED AND KILLED TO STAY IN POWER. And thanks to US aid, most of them did.

Do you think that just maybe, Chavez, and Ahamedinejad, actually made some good remarks that reflects some international views of our nation?
