The EU is the fastest up and coming political body ever. A powerful currnecy, a great social system, and a unified body.

Shouldn't the USA consider joining this this peaceful, democratic, and admired family of nations?

that there are many of us moderates who don't accept either of your agendas? To us a world where anything goes is just as bad as a world where nothing goes.
Both the liberals and convervatives look to shape the world at the expense of the middle class. Both of your agendas involve loss of freedoms and liberties. Both involve taking money away from the middle class.
I'm getting tired of being labeled with your pet names when I don't agree with gay rights, the war in Iraq, or the president. Being a Democrat or Republican does not instantly make a person a liberal nor a conservative. The current administration is too far right and needs to be drawn back to center. When a government goes too far right or too far left, we end up with an Orwellian type of system. Already you have a President who is very fluent in Newspeak.
It's time for the tail to stop wagging the dog. Politicians want you on their side. Don't you think it's time you demand they get on your side?

I saw a post criticizing the raise in corporate profits. Other posts are against defense contractors, evil big business, etc. What system would you recommend? (And no I won't play the false-dilemma game of entrapment ~ communism). But what would suggest America do.

The Prince by Machiavelli is one of the best known books in politics. I wish to read more books to increase my political awareness. I found George Orwell's books (Animal Farm, & 1984) pretty interesting. I also had a chance to read Mein Kamp by HItler (not the I agree with every thing he says). I wish to know more about other great books in politics.

The President is a right leader and he is showing us the true path. We need a leader like him to fight terrorism.
