that there are many of us moderates who don't accept either of your agendas? To us a world where anything goes is just as bad as a world where nothing goes.
Both the liberals and convervatives look to shape the world at the expense of the middle class. Both of your agendas involve loss of freedoms and liberties. Both involve taking money away from the middle class.
I'm getting tired of being labeled with your pet names when I don't agree with gay rights, the war in Iraq, or the president. Being a Democrat or Republican does not instantly make a person a liberal nor a conservative. The current administration is too far right and needs to be drawn back to center. When a government goes too far right or too far left, we end up with an Orwellian type of system. Already you have a President who is very fluent in Newspeak.
It's time for the tail to stop wagging the dog. Politicians want you on their side. Don't you think it's time you demand they get on your side?

There isn't a moderate party, but there are a number of moderate Democrats and Republicans surfacing this election. You must listen to them. You must read about there views. You can't depend on party affiliations. If you do, your buying a pig in a poke.

Sorry, but a "moderate" is nothing more than an overly sensitive, wishy-washy individual who can't actually think for themself without crapping in their pants. Because they feel more than they think, they spend the bulk of their time worrying about upsetting somebody. Ultimately, they go to Yahoo Answers and ask silly questions.

You are making a good point. I can pretty much agree with everything you are saying. I am a Liberal, and I (speaking only for myself) would be satisfied with a Republican run government as long as there is oversight. Right now we have a president who is able to do anything he wants because he has a Congress that backs up his every move. Why do you think things ran so much smoother in the late 90's? We had a Democratic president and a Republican Congress. The oversight stopped Clinton from being able to do whatever he pleased. Don't get me wrong, I'm probably going to vote for a Democrat in the '08 election (depends on the candidates), but right now we need to get the Dems back in control of the house so Bush will be limited on his actions. These are only my beliefs, not exactly those of the party.
Just to let you know, I understand what it's like to be labeled for having a belief. I've been called a "commie" for not supporting the war in Iraq, so I can honestly tell you that I will not chastise you for your stance on gay rights or any other issue. It's your right to feel the way you feel and I'm glad that you have that right.

I think lots of people that never allow themselves to search their surroundings, are included in the medium. Those that do survey are lazy and maybe agenda driven to do such things as include early morning fishermen camped in the outback as homeless, why? to hurt the administration. The problems of the homeless all disappeared when Clinton & Clinton & little AL took office. About Bush, he's more to the left than his base and looks at his golf swing when asked about securing the borders. The war should be hyped to the fullest to alarm the people that should now at this point be putting a full effort into victory as we once was in ww2 The bully pulpit is silent, but if activated could override the stinking no good media and wastefull sports complex, that wanes our strong to wana-be's and bench cheer heros and freaky fans with feathers stuck everywhere, even up their a ss. Mohawks indeed!!

The longer this administration is in power and they are allowed to make decisions without the support of the people, the more that I am starting to realize that the system is broken. I also feel that much of the support that they DO have is based on lies and rhetoric. The voice of the people has been stifled! Of course there should be balance, but right now the far right has total control and there is no hope for balance until 2008. I hope that we (the US) can make amends with the rest of the world at that time as well.

I even have Republican and Libertarian buddies and relatives. and that they are no longer something like the so-noted as Republicans I see on Yahoo! solutions. to no longer say we could continuously all carry arms and sing John Lennon songs. i think of a actual trustworthy liberal/conservative debate is healthy and needed in this united states of america because of the fact we do share reliable variations. the secret's, even however, we are the comparable because of the fact we've self belief our concepts will ultimately help usa. we are all people! forget many of the politicians. i'm conversing approximately familiar liberal and conservative people. We teach hobby and love this united states of america. edit: Romeo needs buddies.

No one seems to represent the vast majority of moderates in our government and political realm. I agree with you 100%!
That;'s precisely what's wrong with our 2-party political system. You only get 2 choices. Would you eat at a restaurant with only 2 items on the menu? Would you shop for clothes if offered only 2 colors? Do you think we need more choices? I do!

That's fine. I don't disagree with your message.
I wish more people were moderates. It would mean they are actually using their brains instead of following their impulses when it comes to making decisions.
Actually... I pray more moderates vote in the November elections than either Liberals or Conservatives.

Awesome Question I stand with you... Labels polarize people into one of 2 categories.. I think that most in America fall somewhere in between. But I also feel the politics of fear are stopping people from making smart choices...

Well said, but I kind of view it as ying and yang, when it is out of balance there is a problem. We the U.S. are out of balance at this time and just look at the mess we are in. Back in the 60's we got out of balance and look at what a mess that was. However some good came out of that, I can see no good coming out of this, but will have to wait to see the outcome. Maybe it will swing to the yang and something good will happen to balance everything.
