The EU is the fastest up and coming political body ever. A powerful currnecy, a great social system, and a unified body.

Shouldn't the USA consider joining this this peaceful, democratic, and admired family of nations?

We as a nation, as a civilization and as people are not smart enough to do that. The ruling class, the ones who own this country wouldn't want that, because they couldn't continue to milk the citizens of the U.S. the way they do it now. Joining the EU would only benefit the common man and that is not something that the owners of this country have in mind.

Never had, never will.

As it was meant to be for European countries only, that would take ages, and changing name, objectives and agendas of the union. And to be honest I don't think too many Europeans would accept that, not in the current political climate anyways.
