Many things...
The U.S. educational system...
Government bureaucracy...
The criminal justice system...
A New York Times or CBS News editorial meeting...
Most of all, however, I think of a generation of Americans who have never known Depression or World War or Black & White TV, who have never known a greater trauma than the sting of not having every immediate need met on demand....I think of a culture so void of character and purpose that they must wear the hand-me-down identity of a generation past, as if by using their vocabulary they can endow their present lives with some fraction of the passion that hasn't existed in this country for decades.
Oh, and I also think of 'Family Guy'.
Giggity Giggity Goo

The state in which GWB has plunged the world. That's a great word and it illustrates perfectly the ineptitude of a foreign policy that deals with ideas rather than people and nations.

Woo Hoo u_bin_called!!!!! My sentiments exactly! They know nothing of the true protest movements of the 60's. They know nothing about true oppression. They live in a celebrity obsessed world where bashing their country is fashionable. Where being bad is what is cool. I fear for our future.
