While not a major fan of Bush, does anyone really think that Kerry and all of his lies would have been any better? Eliminate the party lines and tell me that with what we had to choose from that the better man is not Bush.

As you all may know, China and India appear to have the greatest potential amongst all the other nations of achieving superpower within the 21st century. Which country would you prefer and why? I would prefer India because it is a democratic nation, it is our important ally in Asia, and it does have a large english-speaking population.
China is not favorable because they are a communist. It is definitely not our ally. Their foreign policies are self-centered and they are not trustworthy.
I've asked this question before but I got too many dumb responses like, "China - because India will turn into Iraq," or "China...Azian pride!" or "India is dangerous. China is safe." PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER BASED ON PRECONCEIVED NOTIONS.
Use facts! I need intelligent answers.

Is taking over the internet a good first step towards world domination or should I just concentrate on conquering the world and let the internet follow naturally?

Don't say you've done your research unless you really, truly have. Also, hearing it on TV or learning it in school doesn't count, because they are government controlled (or at least influenced) entities.

Isn't this claim hypocritical coming from someone that was born and spent their entire life in the U.S.?

Why do people so readily accept this without actually knowing if it's the truth?

Since I know people will want to attack me, I'm going to put the disclaimer up right now: I am not saying America is the best or that it's not or that it's good or bad. I am only asking if it is hypocritical to make that claim, and why people so readily accept it as truth.

The patriot act is extremely vague and if the democrats win both houses and the presidency they could interpret the owning of certain guns or unlicensed guns as a threat to national security, this probably won't happen but you got to always look at the different possibilities of the future.
what do you think?

I was wondering if Israel is keeping palestinians occupied because they are paradoid about being pushed into the sea! Is this paranoia a holocaust hangover? Is this why they want to occupy bufferzones into other countries?

Is this policy counter-productive being the only reason Israel is hated so much in the East apart from its being a colonial graft? People of the Middle East do not see Israel as merely a Jewish home meaning to live as a friendly neighbour... but a Western conspiracy to undermine Arab an Muslim autonomy. It is seen as the last colonial garrison in the region. I think the way out is only in understanding the fears and vulnerabilities of parties in the conflict and ensuring that these are sincerely addressed. Do you think i am making sense?

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
John Stuart Mill
English economist & philosopher (1806 - 1873)

Now before I get the "What do you mean by liberal" bs, I mean those of you who are eager to see your country's defeat in a war against a group of pigs and dung. You know who you are.

Anyway, I believe that without the junk from the left and the politicians who listen to and take money from them, the Iraq war would have gone a lot smoother. The American left is invested in defeat for the USA and has done everything it can to stifle America's war effort.

You can argue until you're blue in the face, that you're a good concerned citizen and you're a free thinker and all that nonsense, but the bottom line is, you can't be against the war effort and at the same time, be for your country to win.

Admit it libos.

I personally don't know if Bush is racist or not. After Katrina some celebraties started to say that Bush hates Black people. This kind of talk has penatrated my high school and even some of my wacko liberal teachers have joined in the ordeal. Why do so many people make these accusations?

There is personal abuse of Bush or Kerry or Hillary Clinton all the time... The real issues of disarmament, poverty, ecology, sustainability, the impact of wars, even domestic issues of basic concern, of health, education and livelihood don't seem to be part of the debate. It is always and only pure slur!

It seems more like backing a football team blindly because it represents you. Is this how American public is or is one just coming across badly educated juviniles?
