Terrorism is "The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons." -Dictionary.com.

The invasion of Iraq would only have been stopped if Saddam 's regime stepped down from power. This would change the countries society and government due to the "war on terror" (an ideological reason) and for political gain. That is the definition of terrorism. How can you fight a war on terrorism if you embrace it for your own gains?

if we stay, our soldiers babysit a nation building exercise with no realistic plan for actual success. if we pull everbody out now, then the iraqis are left to fend for themselves, god forbid, and the non combatants will quite likely be slaughtered (while god and the world watches another american foreign policy failure). only to have iraqi neighbors roll in to salvage the ruined chunks which remain for their own national interest.

what a mess. if you aren't angry at this president's national defense policies, then you haven't been paying attention.

What does my support for the separation of church and state have to do with my religious beleifs? Why does that make me liberal? I'm quite conservative on most issues. If we all agree as US citizens that this country is the best place to live free then, isn't the fact that there is a constitutional amendment prohibiting the affiliation of the government with religion a good thing?

Please do not quote the bible to me in your response.

Israel soldiers were kidnapped by Hezbollah. So, Israel decides to teach them a lesson and attacks them.

What I don't understand is while they are doing that no one seems to care that like a thousand Lebonese civilians have been killed. They didn't do anything to anybody.

And when somebody brings this up then people act like Israel is a victim even though Lebanon has one of the smallest militaries in the world.

I am serious and not trying to argue. I seriously do not understand why this is ok with us?

Didn't we call the people who bombed the world trade center terrorists for killing civilians?

I know this is a common issue here but it still amazes me.
Iran is supplying the Hezzbos and probably has nuculear capability and if not, probably not far from it. (Thank you Jimmy Carter)
North Korea (Thank you Madaline Albright and again Jimmy Carter for giving them 6 Billion dollars) isn't to far behind, if at all.
And Iraq (500 found, old yes but still he gave his word that he disarmed so he lied about the small ones why would he tell the truth about the big ones) what makes anyone think Saddam wouldn't want to keep up with the other tyrants? Its common sense. He used biological weapons on the Kurds.
A lot of speculation that the weapons were moved to Syria, and Syria is tied to Iran with possible nucleaur capability. Why does no one want to see the connection?

the Democrats are calling the republicans Noe cons and nasties. the Republicans are calling the democrats liberals and socialist. lets get it over with and have a dang civil war or have a street fight. there are other good {meaning bad} options. there calling each other Nazi's basically. when will I need pop corn and a fall out shelter. pop corn so I can watch the hole dang show.

the other thing the republicans are calling the media liberal and all I hear from air America is that the news lies and are commercials. basically when are there going to need protection for news men in the Constitution.

Yes I asked?

You think I don't deserve them?

Why?

Now you know that response will not hold up because of past practice and case law.

Do you think it's right for your tax dollar to go to the middle east for foreigners.

Have you thought how it would set economy on fire and your still against reparations for Black Americans.

Do you think it is too complex a equation?

Yet you don't think you have a small mind?

Do you believe as some say that welfare was reparations?

Are you a proud racist or in the closet?

Are you middle class and fear of losing your status in life?

Do you think if it were to happen do you believe the money would be squandered?

Would you check a box on your tax return to donate money for reparations?

Do you believe because Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton are the main hucksters that this is a con?

I think almost everybody would agree that our society has learned that we need term limits for congressional members. I haven't met anyone who thinks they are a bad idea.

How do they get away with this?

Do they keep us preoccupied on other issues so that we forget about that?

For me, that has become my first priority because this past few years I have realized how powerless we are to our politicians. All of them are ignoring the people.

President Bush has around 30% approval of the PEOPLE but he ignores our wishes and keeps trying to get more and more executive power. Maybe if the incumbents were not concerned about being re-elected they would have stopped him a long time ago.

What is it going to take for the politicians to do the will of their constituents?

It was recently reported there are 14 conflicts on the planet right now. There are probably more but these are defined as conflicts between nations or involving border disputes or how people are governed within a border.

There is one common denominator (sp) in all 14 of these conflicts. Anyone care to identify it - and you have to be specific - the answer is one word.
