It seems as though the Democratic party is moving further and further left all the time. Does moveon.org mean move on to Communism?

well I hope that you people on the left keep your head in the sand and keep refusing to see this because it will be your undoing.

I feel like this argument is a strategic talking point to be repeated over and over.

I feel this because the implication is that the party is moving further to left when in fact it is the same party as before.

the rise in this claim is prompted by the victory of Lamont.
he however is pushing the platform of healthcare, education and stopping the deficity spending.

this isn't crazy or far left it is actually common sense.

as to the war, Peace is not a far left idea, keeping troops out of a ongoing civil war is not a far left idea.

with regards to moveon.org.

it is not fair and misleading to suggest they are communinst, it only creates the need to call the conservative or Freerepublic or freepers Facist.

so please don't fall for the traps.

If it feels like everyone but you is going crazy, it may be time to carefully inspect your own sanity. I keep hearing people from the far right complain about the "liberal media". What garbage. If you can only stomach getting your news from Republican party sponsored websites, it may be time to wonder if you've simply fallen into the deep end.

The political parties are both corrupt, democrats and republicans alike, because they're full of politicians. Trusting either one completely is a serious error in judgement.

Lieberman will win with a landslide in Connecticut as an Independent. The political shock wave this will create is awesome. The far left-wing of a once great party is about to cause it's own extinction within the Democratic machine.Howard Dean is probably crapping his pants begging Lieberman not to run.

why do you equate "left" and "authoritarian"? currently, the "right" is interested in how many children people bear, how they raise their kids and whether they can be married to the person that they love regardless of gender.

i find that much more authoritarian. what parts of the democratic platform resemble communism to you? does it burn your fingers to type out the description?

i will keep asking you to be specific, because many people hide behind stating positions so vaguely that they can never be disproven. do you believe this or not? and if you are simply fantasizing about it, why are you so desperate for our validation? be your own person, or get out of the way of the people who are strong enough to be firm in their convictions.

if you see this so clearly, why can't you give an example? we aren't ostriches if we want to know what your fears are like, that makes us interested in your perspective. if you are warning us but see nothing, you're crying wolf.

How far right will the GOP go until it hits self destruction?

Republican Rep. Joe Schwarz lost his party's nomination Tuesday, falling to a staunchly conservative challenger in a primary race dominated by a struggle over GOP principles that attracted more than $1 million in spending by outside groups.

Sounds to me like you are destroying your own. Typical of a bunch of Neo-Con nut jobs.

Scripps Howard columnist Ann McFeatters writes: "To Bush, being president means never having to say he's sorry. To tell him he might be wrong or bring him bad news or cause dissonance in his serene world is to antagonize him and be thought disloyal.

"It's now well acknowledged that Bush is happy in his bubble of self- imposed isolation. He meets with foreigners but without true give-and- take even in crisis conversations. Foreigners visit the White House as they used to go on bended knee to ancient Rome. Bush travels but sees few real people. All is scripted. He talks with advisers but rarely interacts with members of Congress, even senior Republicans.

"He seems to care nothing about winning hearts and minds in other countries. Foreign leaders say he lectures but does not listen. He does not have the long telephone conversations late at night that former President Clinton loved to keep him in touch with what others were thinking. He seems indifferent to what experts think."

And, you boss is losing his touch with reality.

I believe that it is an equal action to compensate for the recent moves too far to the right. As in nature, things have a way of balancing out.

No, it moves on to socialism. Communism would require support for the military to hold down the people. Democrats hate the liberals.
