Actually, no I didn't see it. But I did see a lot of rude terms about Mexicans in the Immigration forum that were perpetrated by those on the Right.
Not saying there aren't bigots in the Democratic party, but no more so than there are in the Republican party. Considering the Republican party has admitted to using racism to turn the South red, I'd say there may be a few more on the right side of the aisle than the left.

For most of its existence, the Democratic party had a strangelhold on the deep South, including some of the most racist politicians in all of history. There is nothing new about stooping low to get votes. Any political party will do that if they think they can get away with it. Ronald Reagan's political committee once published an infamous, racist commercial about a black man who committed a series of murders of white people after being let out of jail by a Democratic opponent. Politics is politics.

you mean the racists and the sexists ans the homophobes and the xenophobes and the christian fundmaentalist evangelicals and the wealthy elite classists. no they're all still pretty much solidly republican. i do think that isreal's survival is a tough nut to crack. that their fences were designed to disengage the palestinians on their own unilateral terms, i think is legitimately criticizeable. not all criticism of israeli behavior is anti semitic. the democratic party has a much more effective system of self criticism that challenges bigotry in all of its forms than the republicans do, clearly. if you want to pick out a tiny minority of the dems and highlight their irrational exuberance, you would do well to consider the number of voters in your own party that are actually bigotted towards israel, consider the glass house you're standing smack dab in the middle of, and then consider whether or not to throw that stone.

To quote DailyKos:
'In my diary of yesterday, I proposed that our party support the creation of a single secular democracy in the area now controlled by Israel, and I was impressed by the quality of responses. Based on this tiny sample of 100 or so Democrats, I’m thinking that maybe the average Democratic voter might be open to taking a more impartial role in the Middle East - and thus making our country less of an object of hatred by Muslims everywhere.
The most common objections to such a proposal is that the two sides hate each other too much to stop the killing and that outside forces, like the USA, cannot impose a solution.
However, I think that the US, as the prime, and virtually the only, supplier for the Israeli Defense Force for the past many decades has the capacity to force a settlement simply by cutting off that support.'
In other words....throw the Israeli's to the wolves. And attempt to appease the unappeasable.

No, Its obvious that the GOP has its share of bigotry,,,Ahhh, How many blacks hold Seats in the senate and Congress? The Democratic Party is comprised of several Jews and blacks in both houses. To many to list. I don't know where you get you information from...Sounds like something Rush Limp-dick would say... LIEberman got the boot because he was a Republican at heart. Lieb was to busy having a love fest with George...Ignored the needs of his constituents!

No anti semitic crap was used by the Democratic Party, that is a lie. I am anglo, with an anglo last name. I have frequently heard Republicans use antisemitic and anti black and anti gay slanders because they think I am one of them, but they are wrong. The Republican Party is the home of bigotry.

Lieberman is a Republican in Democrats clothing. He got what was coming to him. If he wanted to be with the party of Bush, he should have switched before running for re-election.
Why does every scream racism, or anti-semitism, or any other "ism"? Is it because you lost a fair fight?

It's hard to be a bleeding heart liberal bigot, but I think some people have found a way. Democrats, Republicans, there's jackasses everywhere.

The democrats have no more bigots then what the fundamentalist right has.
These people preach love and peace and then go invade a country and kill thousands of civilians.
