it started with name calling and it degenerates into insults.
it is already a show, it's called "hannity and colmes". but the truth is... we are all our own people. every single person you meet that can distill their beliefs down to "i'm a ____" is fooling themselves.
i know for a fact that i don't agree with even 60% of the party i typically vote for. i assume that's probably true for everyone else as well so i don't tend to react to the labels so much. however, when you post a question or an answer, you should take responsibility for what you say. when i see someone express something i think is evil, i can't tell if they're being sincere or not... so i let them have it as if they are. i feel sort of gullible doing that, but i don't know any of you, so i can't tell when you're putting me on.
as far as the media goes... i think they are out to make money mostly. so that means they defer to what is popular. criticizing the government (contrary to what you've heard) is not usually the most popular thing you can do. i don't ever find the press particularly liberal, though they have their moments. they are still harping on the clinton's marriage because some folks are obsessed. i don't think they all get together and decide to lie to us, but they're a little fast and loose with their stories. the money is in scaring us apparently.
you know what though? this has always been a risk. just try to figure things out as best you can. the protection in the constitution is for speech... a press is just a copy machine. there may or may not be any truth is what's printed; that is for you to find. there shall be no protection for people who will sell the truth to the highest bidder.

Actually Neo-Conservative and Liberal are real philosophies, not insults. They get used that way, sure, but they are not in and of themselves insults.
The whole Nazi - Commie thing really ticks me off.
I cannot STAND people complaining about the media. This is simply all in response to the bringing down of Nixon. It was perfected by Bush 1 - they intentionally used the myth of liberal media so that every criticism could be called a lie from a liberal media. RRRgghhh.
Personally, I'm just sick of weak-minded people who have to rely on insults and generalizations, instead of relying on knowledge, passion, and evidence to make a point.

Don't forget dummycrats...oh you don't want more names...you want an answer...
We are WAY too caught up and polarized by our political parties. I am and I admit it. The democrats who voted for the war are still complaining about it because a Republican is in office and it is not popular right now.
We should do what is BEST for America - not our political party. But that won't happen anytime soon and I have a strong bias against the liberal media.

There is talk by some in Texas again of trying to push for going back to being an independent republic. I have to be honest, it might be the best thing. Our political system is all but collapsing under the weight of the 2 party system and all the power and money it concentrates in few hands.

How about THIS:
The bi-partisan system is no longer viable in this country.
I myself refuse to ally with either party OR any newcomer.
I simply vote for whoever seems to be the best fit for the job.
Unfortnately, tha sort of power is very crrupting, and all newbies are eventually "bought".

Republicrats and Democans are all the same, and they're following the same agenda. The name calling and muckraking is just a distraction while they erode our constitution and try to take over the world. "Look at my left hand so you can't see what my right is doing."

Name calling and hyperbole have been a main stay of American politics since the country was founded. Nothing is going to change that.
