I think almost everybody would agree that our society has learned that we need term limits for congressional members. I haven't met anyone who thinks they are a bad idea.

How do they get away with this?

Do they keep us preoccupied on other issues so that we forget about that?

For me, that has become my first priority because this past few years I have realized how powerless we are to our politicians. All of them are ignoring the people.

President Bush has around 30% approval of the PEOPLE but he ignores our wishes and keeps trying to get more and more executive power. Maybe if the incumbents were not concerned about being re-elected they would have stopped him a long time ago.

What is it going to take for the politicians to do the will of their constituents?

ABSOLUTELY!!!

At this point, even a blind person can determine that we need them desperately. Voting does not work when it comes to the power of incumbents.

Presidents come and go with new administrations but those 25+ politicians have the real power.

Also, they are not unconstitutional. Congress could easily create this legislation but refuses to. This must happen if we are REGAIN, because we have lost it, our sense of a fair society. Even the politicians agree that it becomes very difficult to win over an incumbent after she has been there awhile due to the amount of money and power they acquire.

The entire national debt obligation includeing all the entitlements is $125 - 150 TRILLION! as of 2005. Bushit has asked for another $72 BILLION for Iraq. We all know he is spending even more this year than last year. Our 06 debt could be $155 TRILLION! Do the math people we have 300,000,000 people.

Bushit is running America broke ! Where is that loud cry from our elected officials about this wasted money on such a vast scale ? Where is the media screaming about this abuse of power? Why is such an overwhelming amount of wasted money not making the citizens storm DC ?

The smoke and mirrors propaganda has us all preoccupied with the war, the price of gas, the price energy and everything else the gov can hide almost anything ! This beyond any level of acceptable behavior for any gov.

HOW LONG WILL WE STAND BACK AND ALLOW OUR FUTURE TO BE BANKRUPTED?

I WOULD SAY WE WERE PREOCCUPIED!

DO THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE?

VOTE THEM OUT!

AND HURRY BEFORE WE ARE BROKE !

We need to vote out all incumbents. Congress will never vote for term limits on themselves. We need to vote for incumbents that support term limits and many other items of concern to the PEOPLE, which they no longer represent.

The votes are rigged, the only thing to do is keep telling people how our government is tearing apart our constitution, burning our bill of rights and dipping our flag in foreign blood and oil.

I'm scared that it might have to come down to a violent civil war, a revolution. We need to get real people into the white house. We need to get the corrupt and money mad people in there out. We need to save America and what it stands for.

Safety is useless without liberty. Safety is nothing without freedom.

If you are not willing to fight for you rights, you will die for them.

This reform has been attempted, but was declared unconstitutional. Until the Constitution is amended to allow term limits, it won’t happen.

It would be a good thing if we had less Congressmen-and-Senators-for-life.

You have the power to limit their terms when you vote. If you think they've served long enough, don't vote for them again.

They do have term limits. They can only be in office as long as we vote for them.

I am pro-choice. Keep your laws off my body and let me pull the lever for any candidate I want.
