Is taking over the internet a good first step towards world domination or should I just concentrate on conquering the world and let the internet follow naturally?

I'd say adapting to warmer climates is probably a priority, as there is both little internet access and few major cities to takeover in your natural region.
Next, you'll probably need to focus on acquiring an opposable thumb, as it is pretty much a requirement for taking over the wolrd anymore.
In the end, it is all up to what you feel comfortable with. It's nice to see a penguin with such drive and ambition. You are usually lazy little bastards.

taking the internet is controlling only a small part of the world... having the world at the palm of your hands is commanding anyone to do your bidding.... much better to hold the world by your hands, than just a portion, right?
