John Bolton, our acting UN representative, used the term "cartesian magnitude" to describe a state of intractable disagreement that had not yet been reached in the matter of developing a multinational force for Lebanon. The term "cartesian magnitude" in such a context perplexed me. Can someone shed light on its derivation?

Around 40% of Lebanese people are Maronite Catholis. The other five percent are smaller christian groups? I have friends in Tyre and Beirut. (All Christian). If you see Lebanese Christians dying, would you fight for Israel and fight against Israel> (Not Racial, just opinion) NO RACIAL REMARKS!!!!

They claim to be true muslims and yet the when the comes to conflict they ignore the teachings of the prophet and distort the words of the Quran.

I'll let those who know more about the teachings of the Prophet correct me. But I was under the impression according to the Quran Muslims were not to harm the innocent and not fight with their brothers. Yet I see these groups doing both?

REPUBLICAN Hero - ABE LINCOLN Abolished slavery and would have done alot more but was shot by a democrat.

FACT:

DEMOCRAT hero and party founder ANDREW "kill and indian" JACKSON personally killed many native americans prior to becoming prez. Once Prez it he instituted the trail of tears. THis was forced indian re-moveal where thousands of indians died to move to locations that were abysmal so that jasckson could have the choice Indian lands for his racist agenda.
OH BUT HOW THE DEMS white wash this fact.

SEEMS so conveinet that libs and dems claim to cater to minorities that have political clount like afrian americans yet they piss on native americans becuase they do't have the voting power.

Hoops could be shot down in University Park thanks to a proposed ordinance banning basketball goals in front yards. The reason? To some city officials, they don't look too good - and under the proposal, violators could be fined up to $2,000 a day. But some homeowners with the goals called the proposed law ridiculous, silly and stupid.

I swear, sometimes I think this nation could benefit from a good civil war or at least another extended depression to put us back to reality.

Does not Israel have a greater responsibility to not bomb them then? When has our government or Police force had a hostage situtiation and the first thing they did was blow the building up where the hostage is. How pissed would you be if you sister was held hostage and the cops first response was to blow up her house. I think people would sing a different tune. Would you give the cops a pat on the back and say thank you. I think not
