Yes. I don't care what her gender is, I care about the candidate's ideology. If she's going to cut taxes, reduce spending, minimize government intrusion, and protect us from terrorists, that makes her a viable choice for me.
Maybe Condi Rice... ?

If she's a good candidate. We have a female president in Ireland and by all standards she does an excellent job.
President is only a title over here though (much like the Queen of England)
She has no real power.

If she was intelligent and well-qualified, why not? Other countries have had female leaders and if the US is the leader everyone says it is, isn't it about time? If she runs in 2008, I'll vote for Hillary Clinton - no doubt about it.

I would of course vote for a female to become President .
As i am English i am unlikely to get a chance .
Margaret Thatcher was one of the very finest British prime ministers that we have ever had .

Many women have proved that they are capable of running their countries. e.g. Golda Meir of Israel, Indira Gandhi of India, Margaret Thatcher of U.K.. Srimavo Bandaranaike of Sri Lanka, Chandrika of Srilanka and Sukarnoputri of Indonesia.
