First of all I think we can all agree that our "for profit" system we have now, must and will be replaced. Now, how about this?
1. All workers will pay in let's say 2% of our paychecks(automatically deducted) each week.
2. Our employers match this with another 2% .
3. The Federal government pays in another 2%
Total 6% each week that will go into a separate group health insurance fund. Separate from the federal budget; separate account all together.

That way we all pay the same PERCENTAGE each week regardless of income. We all know nothing is free, but this way the workers, business and government would in pay equally. Of course the rich would pay more (their fair share) and the poor would pay less (there fair share). To cover all of our health care and prescription drug coverage. And since we all contribute into it, it could not be called socialism or free health care.

We could call it something like the American Triad Health Insurance Plan.

ex:the dixie chicks. We should be able to say whatever we want about our gov/president and nothing should be wrong. If we say I have Fred jones it would not matter. But if we said I hate President Bush it would be the worst thing in the world.

Two thoughts. The 'media' has pretty well dropped the war, or occupation or whatever it is in Iraq, or at best they all agree that the violence is down by 50%. That's still a lot, but never mind...unless you're one of the 50% that managed to get wasted or to lose an essential body part. But Brit's lttle sister being knocked up by a young man 2 1/2 years older....I dunno! They're talking about tossin' the dad into the clink. I don't know about you guys but isn't it possible that these kids are in love. Almost a half century ago my late wife and I, before we were married,( she was 15 and I was 18) spent a lot of time in the sack. People didn't like it, but nobody called the cops. Today... today, I'd be a sex offender. Any thoughts?

Should we disband the social services? It seems like a waste of taxpayers funding to me. I would love to hear from somebody NOT related to the social services, who has actually benefited from the social services "provided".

There will be a lot of squeals from anti-government contributors.
But what do government supporters think about this issue?
Is the Treaty really much the same as the old rejected Constitution or is there a real difference?
Why are other heads of state saying it's essentially the same, but our PM is saying it's not?

Here in Australia we often hear of how badly US workers are treated, with wages forced down to a minimum and medical insurance tied to their job.

As education and training offer ways for workers to raise their social status and their ability to advocate for themselves, and given that adult education is so expensive, I wondered if US unions provide free or low-cost education?

There must be many workers whose literacy is very low, and who do not know about the dangers of their jobs or how to protect themselves.

The Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) provides this kind of education:

If a person walks out of wal-mart with a stolen item at hand and the greeter asks for a receipt but the person continuously walks out of the store without showing them and then drives away in a car that was parked out front...what are the chances of a camera getting them on tape and following through with catching them? Wouldn't they need both Surveillance proof, and a license plate to catch the theft?

The thing is, if the greeter was only going by instinct that it was stolen because they were not shown a receipt. Are they likely to follow up on the incident even with all the busy holiday shoppers?

If Bono, Madonna, A. Jolie and the rest of the Third World sympathizers care SO MUCH for the hungry and suffering people there, why don't they give up their billions and billions of dollars and do free concerts for the remainder of their lives? Why don't they just all pitch in and buy the country, then 'clean it up'? Why would they rail against government/s to do more when governments don't exist to feed the world?

It is cold where I leave like today it is 22°F; I strap my child's car seat in get in my car and go to drive off and realize I left her diaper bag by the door is it wrong for me to run back in the house to get it and leave her in the warm car, verses undoing her seat, wrapping her back up, and taking her back out in the cold for something that will take no longer then 10 sec literally
