illegal drugs like weed dont hurt people, they sit on the couch all day and eat.
we cant get our money back so it best for them to use it for good purposes like school programs to help stop gangs and violence.

I'd prefer they give it back, and slash the size of government and it's spending by about 30-40%.

Drugs like meth, crack and heroin are serious drugs that need to be dealt with. The dealers who bring it in or make it are dangerous, as are the junkies that will do just about anything to get their fix. As for weed, I agree with you that weed is harmless, far safer than alcohol anyway. And just clogs up our jails and courtrooms, allocating more money to send them to jail, and rendering petty fines, which don't cover the cost of the judge or the trial.

As for national security, that's important. If anything, we need to keep our military strong and technological, secure our borders and know everyone that comes to this country on a work or visitors Visa.

First, I would have there be some major reform in political process. How things are now, between lobbyists, campaign contributions, and others, things are just screwy. So, having a clear public fund for politicians to tap into, and only this, to run for office. One of the main rules: NO MUD SLINGING! I hate listening to all these people dissing their opponents, and simply saying "I won't do this." This is the first thing I'd want the tax dollars to go to.

Second, better health care. Mimic like what's done in Canada, Britian, and Australia, just to name a few. If you're sick, no matter what the problem, you should be treated properly, and not get denied life-saving medical care because you can't afford it, and your insurance won't cover it.

These, I feel, would be important starts.

Printing money and handing it out sounds good on the surface but it will not help most americans. When the government prints money it causes inflation which means the price of everything increases. The end result is usually you get $10 more but you have to spend $20 more to get the same stuff.

Let me keep it, I earned it, why do they get to take it for their own purposes? If anyone else did what the government does, it would be theft, because it's the government, it's taxes. There doesn't seem to be much difference to me. Do you really care who robs you?
I think that I have a better plan for what to do with my money than anyone else does, especially the government.

Both. Both are bad and need to be stopped. But what I'd really like them to spend money on is healthcare and enforcement of illegal immigration.
