ABC news plays during the commercial breaks here at the office. I bet it's been almost a month since I've heard a report on Iraq. Low and behold, there was just a hideous car-bombing today and that's all I hear during every commercial break.

That's just disgusting and it really is a shame the media refuses to report the positives.

Our troops are doing an amazing job and they should get a few accolades.

When are they actually going to show any proof to support this. They keep trotting out this tired old lie of theirs that Bush lied about WMD, but ignore the fact Bill Clinton said and believed the same, why is it only a lie if a Republican says it but not a Democrat? Do they OK a lie from a Dem because they are blinded but call the same thing a lie from a Rep because they are so twisted with anger at their own country and President, they would rather hurt their own nation than stand together to defeat the terrorist's in time of War. That's called TREASON and Dems are guilty of it.

Why can't these people get it ..that most people don't want to be robbed blind by government via taxes just so lazy shiftless people who don't contribute a thing to society can get their freebees?

If I work hard for a living and take care of myself and my family,why should I pay for someone else's healthcare or his retirement, or to educate his kids. Speaking of which, thats another scam...why do so many americans pay taxes for services that they don't use? If I can send my kids to private school, why should I pay for someone else's kids to go to schools that are clearly not doing their jobs and turning out so many lazy uneduacated freebie lovers?

We republicans must make sure the likes of Hillary Clinton never get elected, or else they will drive the country into the ground and turn it into another soviet union.

I have in my notes 2100- republican and 4000- democrat, but not sure if this is accurate. The professor writes so sloppy on the board. Not sure if I added an extra "0" or something somewhere.

Yes, I know his views have changed, I know he's "flip-flopped", and I know it's recent. So, what? Ronald Reagan changed his positions on a lot of issues, not just abortion and the Department of Education.

But none of the other Republican candidates can claim that their "current" views are in line with the GOP's, either. Rudy Giuliani is a a social liberal; Mike Huckabee has spending and other domestic policy issues; John McCain has a history of moderatism, most notably his supports of immigration and campaign finance reforms; and Ron Paul isn't conservative so much as he is completely libertarian.

Yes, Romney has changed his stances; but isn't that exactly what Republicans have been hoping for all this time: that people all over will "change their minds" like Romney has? The GOP should be thrilled. After all, no zealot like a convert.

Is it counterintuintive for progressives(liberals) who want a secular society, that the popularity of a charlie brown christmas tv cartoon seems to prove otherwise(they don't talk about a "holiday" on the cartoon now do they? )

The gruesome scenes of Atomic bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki and its aftermath and the scenes of horrible and untold suffering of the innocent people there ever since then have shattered any claim of Man to call himself "civilised"... And yet, strangely enough, NEITHER U.S NOR OTHER NATIONS SEEM TO HAVE LEARNT THE LESSONS OF REFRAINING FROM WAR, AGGRESSION,GREED AND AGGRANDISEMENT.
Is it not possible for all countries to unite and turn all their undivided attention to the art of living in peace and mutual respect, sharing the common goals of eradiction of poverty, disease, illiteracy, unemployment, unjust exploitaion of natural resources, child abuse and the like and spend all their precious time and effort to make this Earth a better place to live for the suffering millions... ? Together, all the nations could even fix a time-limit for carrying out these goal-oriented projects with the U.N and W.H.O supervising the progress made by each nation...

I support it b/c I dont want my kids fighting terrorist from the middle east 20 yrs from now. Also I believe that Iraqi people have endured more pain and suffering from the hands of Saddam than anyone could deserve and now they deserve freedom and peace.
