Why we went in the first place was never, never, accurately defined. I have no doubt that the Bush administration knew that their evidence was flimsy. Iraq always played their politics as close to the wire as they could, and crossed that line on several occasions, but would usually only pull back when the airstrikes started again.
The simple fact is, Saddam Hussein asked for it. Even Bill Clinton had to authorize force against him on several occasions.
Once I got deployed to Iraq, and talked to the people, and saw how they lived under Saddam, I realized that we were destined to be there. I know it sounds goofy, but that's the best way to descibe it. This is one of the greatest opportunities in history for that part of the world to obtain greatness, and anyone who doesn't grasp the history, and the importance of what I'm saying just doesn't know the facts.
Iraq/Asyria/Mesopotamia has never had a governing system as great as their people. They have always lived under one despot ruler or another. Now they have a chance to make a Government that can actually be great. In a few decades, they may be giving lessons to the US on how democracy works! I think we forgot how it works about 160 years ago.

Who in the right mind support wars? May be me - then I am unhinge somehow or rather - me? as I want this blue planet to be out of human!!! in order for mother nature to survive longer. It is easier said than done - Sadam was a tyrant, but why American government like to interfere with other nation's problem - there are enough problems in America itself. We labelled them terrorist and the whole Muslim world labelled American government as the terrorist. I don't judge, not anymore - when there is a war - both parties are guilty! Human always have excuses for starting wars and most wars are or were for the wrong reasons including the invading or Iraq - the dying of human as I stressed so much to anyone at all, no matter who they are, doesn't matter to me much, in the end everyone will die, but warring is just an ordinary things since long long ago, why not do something new that the human race seem not capable of doing - understanding of one another thou from different races and religions or the one without religion - that is something extra-ordinary - we like judging so much of the right and wrong - who are we? Just pathetic humans overall no matter even if the one win the war so is the side losing wars - Evil is often a matter of perspective!

Sadly I do, but Only that in 20 years most of the Medical Inventions / Development will be in commercial hands & all the Amputee's & Other WAR Damaged / inflected persons will have better treatment. Also believe it or not the US is still fighting the Vietnarm WAR, if you break it down from Japan & Horishima to all the VET's around the World, who's paying for all that, the goverment's why do you think most of other country's have compolsury Defence service so that the average JOE / or GRAUNT can get Medical & a Pension at the end if he /she servives .

NO! I don't believe in this WAR.. There is only one reason G Bush is in there.. He wants to control the oil! He's an oil man, and his millions are tied up in oil.. He wants to take every Middle East Country and make it conform to OUR politics and government in order to control the precious oil. I do, however, support the poor troops who are there because they were SENT. Just like my husband was SENT to Vietnam in 1969 for no real good reason.. Our government tied the Troops's hands and we ended up pulling out and handing over the country of Vietnam to the Communists anyhow! All the boys who lost their lives and minds, and for what?? This is almost a repeat of history.. We need to get OUT! Never should have been there in the first place!!!! Ok, so there are Terrorists.. I'm sure other nations consider us in the US terrorists too..We're in THEIR country. As for being taken by another country, we don't have to worry.. The terrorists are already here in the US living among us. It's a subtle invasion, not one visable like us marching into IRAQ! Bush wants Iran next, and he would like to keep going.. Bring our men home now!

I support the mission in Iraq (it's not really a war anymore). We trashed the country and its power structure when we invaded. We owe it to the Iraqi people to try to protect them and rebuild the country, at least until the Iraqi government can do that for themselves.

To say you support the war in Iraq is to say that you are anti-American, anti-people and anti-God.
No patriotic American or Iraqi supports the war in Iraq.
First of all, it's not a war, it's an invasion. In the process, we've killed or otherwise caused the deaths of hundreds of times as many Iraqis as Sadaam ever hurt, caused millions of Iraqis to flee their homes, caused 80 percent of the world to now believe we are the second greatest threat to world peace (next to Israel, of course) and thus created millions more potential terrorists against us than existed before our invasion of Iraq.
And I haven't even mentioned the damage, death and injury caused to Americans and our economy!

If you support it because of that, you need to go grab a weapon and fight because there are other people kids fighting it there now and your kids are not anymore important than the kids that are there now. Anyway where did you get that nice little story from Bush's state of the union 2001? Where have you been since?
Combat badge ;))

Yes I support the war & the troops because I feel that the US military should do all that it can to protect Israel's national security. And for anyone who doesn't like that answer remember how the US did almost nothing to stop the Holocaust.
