I could not watch it. But following online an now news broadcasts. I found this quote particularly interesting. Because each statement about Iraq changes within her campaign . Bash Bush for being in Iraq, votes for use of force & Patriot Act? Now again, I will keep troops in. What kind of garbage are we expected to eat here? Perhaps the hope is each audience shall change as if no one will notice? She is no Bill that is for sure.
Thoughts, comments?

Who said this? What do you think this means? Did Adolf Hitler say it or perhaps it sounds something more like Kennedy or Winston Churhill would of said?

Can anyone think of a direct relationship between a socialized healthcare system and education or intelligence? I have made the connection between lead screening for children (lead poisoning in children can lower intelligence, so proper screening can catch it early and allow for prevention/treatnment) that is available to everyone regardless of income. I am looking for more instances, such as average intelligence in countries with socialized healthcare vs. average intelligence in America, etc. Any ideas?

Now the Govt. would be very upset by my plan because Social Security has become their private "slush fund" that they break into every so often to use that money for something they've screwed up. But tax free savings accounts & capital gains would only be touched by the people who own them.

I know this plan makes way to much sense & if will probally give most libs a heart attack but I think it would solve a lot of problems especially the Social Security one.

He just rubs me the wrong way, figuratively speaking. His politics are ultra-conservative, which is enough to turn me off, but his whiny voice is so annoying. I admit, though, he appears to address important political affairs with enthusiasm. Too bad he's espousing the goodness of the wrong party!

It seems a day never passes when a Republican doesn't make a statement which shows how out of touch they are. I laughed when Tony Snow said he had to quit because his six figure salary wasn't enough to support his family.

Now, I hear Giuliani state that the reason we shouldn't have universal health care is that he would have had less chance surviving in the UK when he had cancer, than his chance in the U.S. Even if one believes his statistics, what good is better health care to the millions that can't afford to pay for it or for insurance?????

If you work hard for your entire life, save up your money and pay off your mortgage in full. Then you leave your property to your children and the government steps in and cuts itself a nice slice when they inherit it!
Am I the only one who thinks this is completely wrong?

Hugo Chávez, the president of Venezuela, as well as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran, are becoming really close. Ties are strengthening between the two nations. These two nations also have an unrelenting hatred towards the United States. I'm just wondering if these two nations are the future Germany/Japan alliance that will result in World War III. Despite their HUGE differences, such as Iran being strongly Shia Islamic whereas Venezuela is heavily Catholic, the two have managed to find common ground together, such as fascist Germany and imperialist Japan did in World War II. My other question is, who would be the Mussolini? Kim Jong-Il perhaps? It's interesting how history repeats itself.

The huge media conglomerates are forcing a monopoly on our media and our source of news and information. We are no different than Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union. It is almost laughable that many Americans still believe that we are a free country.

Partial birth abortion is just fine, gay marriages should be the norm, God should be removed from society. Their heroes are George Soros, Michael Moore, Ted Kennedy, Sean Penn, ad nauseum.

I personally can't stand George Bush and think he's a terrible person. However, I do not like it when people who don't even live in the United States call him evil and criticize him. Although I don't like him, or what the country is moving towards, I still respect the presidency.

California's Governor has proposed a health care reform in attempt to guarantee ALL Californians health insurance. The plan will cost $14 billion and includes the following (key points):

- Collecting up to 4% payroll tax on all employers with 2 or more employees.
- ALL Californians (working/non-working) will be required to spend up to 6% of their gross income on health coverage.
- All Californians are required by law to buy health insurance, failure to do so will result in fines.
- Those under the poverty level will have access to no-cost Medi-Cal.

Any thoughts?

I just got done watching one of the videos on the Yahoo front page about the "epic drought" hitting the American southeast. They said that a town in Tennessee has already run completely out of water, and that Georgia, Florida, and Alabama are all at risk too. They also projected that up to 36 states face a similar fate within the next 10 years. If the tap runs dry in your town, what will you do?
