I think a ground invasion would be out of the question in any circumstances. They simply don't have the capability or resources with their ongoing occupation of Iraq, and involvements in Afghanistan. A strategic air strike would be a possibility though, if all diplomatic efforts fail. However, it's more likely to come from Israel, as they have much more at stake here. They have stated that the only thing worse than military conflict with Iran would be if they were to obtain nuclear capability. If the Israelis did strike, and it could only be a question of time before they do, then the US would almost certainly get involved. The end result would be disastrous for the region, and the world as a whole. I really hope it doesn't come to this.

Even if Iran has got nuclear weapon it will take thousand years for them to develop delivery system to drop bomb in USA.USA is not afraid of an Islamic bomb from Iran.But what is worrying USA is the impact of islamic bomb on Israel.It will tilt the power infavour of Muslims,because Iran can bomb Israel.A direct bombing by USA or war in Iran is not feasible.What USA is going to do is some sort of proxy war.USA may arm Israel and Israel may carry out the actual operation.USA will do anything to please and protect Israel.

Well, Bush is never going to be accused of being smart, but I think he's probably learned that invading and occupying a country isn't as easy as it sounds.

So if anything I think he'll bomb them, especially since he's probably really antsy because of the fact that he's not currently utilizing the full destructive capability of our Air Force.

Given that he's an armchair general with delusions of adequacy, and that he's already seen fit to overdeploy the National Guard and reserves - I wouldn't be surprised if he sends the Coast Guard over to help bomb Iraq!

Their nuclear facilities will be bombed. Probably "anonymously" with a B-2 stealth bomber. Nobody will be able to prove who did it and life will go on.

It's already on the cards and has been for quite some time now.They will start with strategic bombing of targeted sites and that's why they have been busily working on the fine tuning of the aircraft required for bombing deep installation sites.It's also what Bush wants the extra funding for.
