Walt and Mearsheimer in their paper titled "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy", examined the role of the Israel lobby in determining US foreign policy. Considering Israel receives $3 billion in aid from the United States, which constitutes one fifth of the total US aid budget, and that Israel is a wealthy state with a per capita income comparable to Spain, how does one justify the huge amount of US aid sent to Israel each year? Is such a close relationship between the US and Israel a result of the Israel Lobby influencing US foreign and security policy or is another factor responsible?

Liberals are against war and my question to them is how does a free society like ours sustain itself in a world filled with radical terrorists that will stop at nothing to kill Americans? Should we just sit back and let them keep attacking us? Is there a different way to fight terrorism and defend the free world without engaging in war? I am asking this question to give the opportunity to anti-war liberals to propose their solution before I can make the claim that they have no solutions.
