Thanks for saying "some" liberals--I appreciate that! As for intolerance, as other have mentioned, many liberals are concerned about how strongly the Republican party courted the favor of the Religious Right in the last two elections. Most liberals want to make sure that church and state stay separate, and thus that if a government agency *is* going to display a cross or nativity scene, they give "equal time" and attention to other religions as well.
As far as intolerance, it can go the other way as well. Remember how last Christmas, in Colorado, a woman was being fined on a daily basis by her homeowner's association because she refused to take down her peace symbol? The head of the homeowner's association thought the symbol was "Satanic." Luckily, with a lot of national attention, he backed off.

It's not so much they are intolerant of their symbols of peace but they have more of an issue with the historical injustices carried out by 'supposed' devout Christians.

No liberals that I know of are intolerant of Christians--or Christian symbols. In fact, most liberals ARE Christians.
But we--liberals, Christian and otherwise-are done tolerating the attempts of the right-wing fanatics who have corrupted both Christianity and our political process in their efforts to force their distorted version of Christianity on everyone else.

the question is vague......however a real is answer is that liberals are only intolerant of the christian right that try to "impose" their views beliefs instead of just preaching it.....just in case there are a lot of liberals that are also christians.

Because Liberals have the uncanny ability to be "offended" by anything, even if it doesn't concern or affect them.
Liberals insisted that a cross be taken down which was part of a memorial to our soldiers. This cross was a beloved sight by sailors coming into San Francisco harbor. How Liberals could feel "offended" is beyond me.
Liberals just don't understand that a society cannot remain strong if every whiny little thing can be a matter of dispute. Enough of the chaos. Let's send Liberals to a 1940's style civics class. Most of them will fail, so they'll have to retake the class once or twice.

As a Conservative Christian I do resent that liberals telling me that I'm the type of person that doesn't embrace Jesus Christ. I wonder if Jesus returned today...how many liberals would jump in front of Christ and take a bullet for him. I WOULD and that's what makes me different from everyone else. Who here can say they love Jesus that much?

I’m a liberal who's Christian (i grew to become into raised Catholic). Why would I be prejudiced against Christians as quickly as I’m one myself? I basically have self belief in separation of church and state and that i’m disgusted via the intolerance of many human beings in this united states of america who call themselves Christians. amazing wing fundamentalist Christians are a number of the main hateful human beings I truthfully have ever encountered in my existence. those human beings are illiberal of all people who's in comparison to them, they are customary for being racist, xenophobic, homophobic and unaware of all people who does not trust their extremist ideals. they p.c. to coach this united states of america right into a theocracy, they p.c. to dictate the regulations of this united states of america based on the bible. that's misguided and that i do despite i will to place an end to their tries to regulate our government. basically look on the solutions from My65swede and Flower. they are the two amazing wingers who're supposdly Christians. look at their solutions, look at that detest and intolerance. it is disgusting, and in no way what their very own faith preaches.

Because their symbol of peace is an army assault rifle and I am afraid Jesus did not condone killing not matter how much you try to justify it.
