Proponents of the measure argue that this is necessary so that legislators do not play politics with school funding

Opponents of the measure argue because it unnecessarily constrains how the legislature conducts its business and is likely to impede work on other parts of the budget, as well as provide more opportunities for legislators to insert pork project into the budget.

Do you think this is a good idea and if so, why? Alternatively, do you think that procedural restraints of this type are a bad idea and if so, why?

do you think that electoral college is the best process to elect the most powerful person in the world? If not, what suggestions would you make to reform the process? For example, many people argued that eliminating the Electoral College would insure that every vote counted equally and would force candidates to compete in every state (not just the swing state). Other people argue in favor of using regional primaries to determine each party's candidate (as opposed to the present arrangement that forces candidates to compete in fifty separate contests). Still others focus their reforms on changing the financing of these elections

if given a chance what specific changes would you advocate to fix the Constitution (i.e., making representation in both chambers of Congress based upon population, eliminating the Electoral College, weakening the powers of the presidency, requiring the president to obtain a majority of votes cast, easing the amendment process)? If so, do you think that the approach to government is consistent with the world in which we live?
