Pro-Life 100% - Now!

When I was a younger person, I might have felt differently! I think age and wisdom have a lot to do with it. We gain wisdom with age!

As a younger person, I did not want to be tied down because of a mistake. That mistake never happened, thank God! But I may have chosen differently than I would now if it had.

I now have much more respect for life than I did as a young adult.

A life is a life - even if has only just begun mere moments ago. That new life has just as much right to life as one just being born.

As a father now, I would never give up a life even though it may cause me difficulty. We, as humans, can deal with a lot more than we realize.

The father has just as much right to claiming the childs life as the mother does. While she may carry the child, the father is just as much responsible for that childs life, and has claims to it, if he so chooses.

Thus, a mothers right to choose is mute, depending on the fathers choice. Still, the child has a right to live, dispite the parents views!

IMHO, these are my views.

Peace and Blessings.

The Ol' Sasquatch Ü

Well it all boils down to the child, mainly its future, it may be for the best for the woman to have an abortion, even if it may seem cruel to some people. But think of it this way, would you really enjoy gorwing up in a poverty-ish household, possibly with fighting, abusive, or non-supporting parents? The answer is no, no one should have to suffer a horrible childhood just because some people say abortion is bad, it just isn't fair for the child. When most of grew up or are growing up, we have always been jealous or envious of the richer folks, unless you happen to be part of the upper echelon. Why should some innocent kids be riding a bicycle while another kid is driving a Ferrari? Growing up feeling like you're subordinate to others is just wrong, especially if the reason was because people are against abortion. Sure, there are some kids who grow up to be fine, but the majority of people who have unsafe sex frequently don't have the financial means to survive, let alone with a kid. If a woman should ever have more than one abortion, and I would have to say, if it is absolutely necessary. The other option that some people would say is to give the baby up for adoption, but be realistic, wouldn't you be happier growing up with your biological parents rather than adoptive parents, even if they happen to be very caring and loving, there is just some family connection that seems to be crucial to feel "normal." I'm all about saving lives, but let's not be selfish and introduce someone who potentially would not be able to live as happily a life as someone who was not a "mistake."

Personally I can't think of anything that would make me have one, but I think it should be a personal decision. BUT, if the only way I could stop partial birth abortion was to make all abortion illegal I would.
Partial birth abortion is when you turn a baby that might live on it's own so that the feet come first. Then you insert a sharp object into it's brain and "scramble" it until it is dead. This is not to save the life of the mother, since birth happens anyway. It is because the mother doesn't want the baby...and has been too lazy and irresponsible to do something earlier. Hey, it is 2006, there are many ways (planned parenthood offers some free} not to make a baby in the first place. And don't tell me about rape and incest...they knew they were pregnant early enough to do something way before the first trimester. EPT tests can tell almost before you miss 1 period.
The only reason to mash a baby's brain is to KILL it. You have to do this or the baby could survive on its own.

Pro-choice

I have a problem with that question. I am pro-life. I would never have an abortion. Abortion is murder. However I support a womans right to choose. God gave us all the freedom of choice to either break or keep his commandments. I guess I can't be classified into either of those groups.

Pro choice, and it would be interesting to know how many of these so called pro lifers follow the following rules if they are anti murder as they put it;

adopted children
fostered children
donate on a regular basis to needy children charities
are also against the military and the war,
are against the death penalty,
are also against any medical professional providing them with ANY cure that has been established via stem cell research
are they also a vegetarian

PRO CHOICE NOT PRO DICTATOR!

2006-10-23 14:39:13 · answer #6 · answered by Aussieblonde -bundy'd 5 · 1 1

What exactly is pro-life? Are the terms pro-life and pro-choice mutually exclusive? If a person is pro-choice, are they unable to be pro-life? Is a person who considers him/herself pro-life, still pro-life if he/she supports the death penalty? The language used in the abortion debate is muddled.

Since the language used in the abortion debate is so muddled, I won't use either term in my answer. What I do believe is that a woman has the right to privacy, and that a woman has the right to make reporductive decisions without the interference of the government.

Tough question with more than one answer.

I believe that a person has a right to choose what is right for her. I work in an operation room and occasionally find myself in the position to aid in an abortion. I choose to not participate - most of the time. YOU have the right to choose. I choose not to help in most situations.
On extreme rare occasions, I feel that if the life of the woman is at risk, then an abortion is justified and necessary. If the abortion is for the convenience of the woman, then no, I do not believe in abortion.

Pro Choice: and i'll bet some of these people would change their mind if it happened to them What if the girl was say 16 and was raped would you want to ruin her life by forcing her to have this baby and then raise it . She is too young to get a job to support the kid so what happens she has to seek help from the state or county Govt. (WELFARE)
