I feel rather silly asking this, because I think I should know all about it, being a current affairs/news buff, but what exactly is, in plain terms (I've been reading Wikipedia for the past 10 minutes and not really getting anything out of it)

What is it about?
What triggered it?
What is going on?
Where do YOU think it is going?

If the death penalty and sentencing of the death penalty was streamlined in that there must exist overwhelming evidence such as DNA, etc., and once the guilt were verified through such processes, would you support the death penalty?

We have a war right here on our inner city streets, we homeless people, hurricane katrina victims are not being helped properly, we have mothers without health coverage, we have veterans who get no support from the government, we have millions of americans who pay social security and will never see it, we have thousands of missing children why are we worried about what the hell other countries are doing shouldn't we sweep under our own rug before sweeping under someone else's!!!!

the reason im asking this is because americans are reluctant to answer certain political questions, its like they are cautious in how they answer.if this forum was hosted in europe or other countries, people would answer with wots in thier mind without being in fear of being spyed upon .

I've put this under a politics catagory because I'm one of the many who feel uneasy about the was Hollywood acts, I'd have put it under 'pillaging' if there was a catagory for it.

Did hollywood take this as an American story? Might not be a bad idea!
And how did Cage compare to Woodward? (was it Woodward?)

Do you believe that America can maintain the right to use torture to obtain information vital to the safety of its citizens? Say for example that your family is in grave danger and an individual in US custody has information which can save them from this situation. This same individual may also be at least, partly to blame for this situation. They do not wish to cooperate with the authorities and are unable to be bribed. Would you desire the US government to implement torture to obtain the necessary information to save the lives of your family? Why or why not?
