YES,I do because if you commit murder you deserve to pay for your crime .I believe in eye for an eye .I am from Texas and I appreciate that my state gets rid of them asap .I don't think we should wait 20 yrs to put them down .

I do support the concept of Death Penalty for horrific crimes (like serial murderers, etc.)
But practically speaking there are some issues: #1. Some ppl found Guilty are now being exonerated with DNA analysis.

#2. The amount of money & time spent in the Death Penalty appeals is not worth the effort.

#3. Death penalty is an easy and quick way out for the convict.

NO.
For the simple reason that , criminal justice systems can never be said to be perfect. Law enforcement dept can be having corrupt elements. If someone cleverly manipulate some one else to be executed , there is a mistake which nobody will ever be able to correct. You cannot bring a person back from death and say sorry.
There are people who definitely the community will be better off without. Such people may be chained FOR LIFE , put to slavery or whatever but no death penalty. And then there are some guys caught in the act with smoking guns. May be they should not be brought in front of justice.( But anyone who commit a crime should be answerable. )
If it is a rapist , if he is locked away for life , he doesnt get another
chance.
If he is a terrorrist and if someone hijack a plane later demanding his release? tough questions. may be maim for life ??
but no taking away of life till the police and judiciary are PERFECT!!

I do not support the death penalty. I don't feel anyone has the right to take someone elses life. Secondly, it is much more expensive to put some one to death than to put them in prison for life. Thirdly, it is NOT a deterrent.

The death penalty is costly. The average cost of death penalty proceedings in the U.S. is $2.5 million: of life imprisonment without parole $600,000

I cannot in my right mind support the killing of anyone. Although I can understand (kind of) the pain that someone must feel to have their family torn apart by a heinous crime, the violator has fmaily too.

I could not in any circumstance bring myself to sentence someone to death, I refuse to have blood on my hands for any death. I coudl not live with myself knowing I took a life.

Yes!!! I'm big the whole, "eye for an eye" philosophy. There are stipulations of course, self-defense for instance. But the last thing I want my tax dollars going to is keeping some killer in jail. Screw that. We should go back to public hangings. I'd watch, and I'd enjoy it. Yes, I know; I'm sick and twisted and have no re-guard for human life. Well, the first two are true.
But honesty; why send them to prison where they can exchange stories, write books, work toward a college education, work out and watch cable? People are going to start screaming at me over rehabilitation and crap...But lets face it folks. They aren't sorry that they stalked and murdered someone...They're sorry because they got caught.
I'd much rather see some guy hung for murder than see a dog put to sleep for biting a kid.

No, I don't. The error rate and inefficiency of the justice system is too high for such a irreversible crime. Additionally, the death penalty puts our society at the level of the killer.

Support it with certain caveats. (physical evidence required, for only named crimes, etc)

No, I don't. Murdering with a license is still murder.
