In a stealth maneuver, President Bush has signed into law a provision which, according to Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont), will actually encourage the President to declare federal martial law (1). It does so by revising the Insurrection Act, a set of laws that limits the President's ability to deploy troops within the United States. The Insurrection Act (10 U.S.C.331 -335) has historically, along with the Posse Comitatus Act (18 U.S.C.1385), helped to enforce strict prohibitions on military involvement in domestic law enforcement. With one cloaked swipe of his pen, Bush is seeking to undo those prohibitions.

Answers. I think China is going to be because the economy is growing like crazy(in comparison to 20 years ago), strong military, population, and also cultural aspects. I want everyone's opinion on this. Also, can you provide a list of the top 5 most powerful countries now?

One of these rights would be that the State of Texas be split into Four different states:
The Joint Resolution for Annexing Texas and The Ordinance of Annexation contains this language providing the basis for forming up to four additional states from the present Texas:
“New States of convenient size not exceeding four in number, in addition to said State of Texas and having sufficient population, may, hereafter by the consent of said State, be formed out of the territory thereof, which shall be entitled to admission under the provisions of the Federal Constitution.”
Would the change to the American political landscape shift to the left or to the right? Would too much political power be centered in one region of the country? Just think the Senate would gain 6 new members and the House would lose 6 members. Personally I wouldn’t mind being from the State of West Texas. What do you think?

After paying careful attention to the messages of White Nationalism and American Neoconservative rhetoric, I believe that PRO LIFE stance in America is simply a front to basically tell White Americans:

"stop getting Abortion cause our numbers are dwindling".

America recently reached 300,000 million [citizens estimated] but the simple fact is the birthrate of White America has been decreasing due to a number of causes.

#1 White women on Career tracks who wait to have families,

#2 Poor economic policies which cause the situations for women in answer #1 and...

#3 The desire for material wealth over family.

White america is not keeping up with the birthrates of immigrant families to the united states or non-whites already living in America.

Interestingly enough, the same White americans who are "pro-life" are pro war (Iraq and Afghanistan) and remained so until Bush fumbled it and America woke up and realized it was losing the battle against the insurgency & taliban

I realize that any sovereign state has the right to better itself and its infrastructure, but Iran's claims of peaceful use seem to fall on deaf ears. I am no fan of Iranian ideology, but isn't it possible they are telling the truth. If indeed they are, then why not just put a contingent of nuclear inspectors in Iran on a permanent basis. In exchange, Iran's scientists can visit the nuclear facilities of any other UN member country. Do you think this is a viable option?

Cheney's comments on a radio show seem to lead to the conclusion that he regards waterboarding as a legitimate interrogation technique. Tony Snow denies this. Is Cheney snagged as a torture advocate or was he just refering to one of those "dunk-tanks" where you throw baseballs at a target at the county fair?

perhaps you have an argument until the baby has a heart beat and definatly no argument when the child has a brain that functions. but noooooo, you can murder your child all the way till birth. You should be ashamed of your selves for promoting the mass killings of innocent children.
