I realize that any sovereign state has the right to better itself and its infrastructure, but Iran's claims of peaceful use seem to fall on deaf ears. I am no fan of Iranian ideology, but isn't it possible they are telling the truth. If indeed they are, then why not just put a contingent of nuclear inspectors in Iran on a permanent basis. In exchange, Iran's scientists can visit the nuclear facilities of any other UN member country. Do you think this is a viable option?

OK, assuming that Iran's nuclear program is strictly peaceful and that they have to intention of building nuclear weapons there is still a danger.

The Chernobyl accident showed that if nuclear power is used immaturely, then there is a risk of a catastrophic event that could affect many nations. As such the rest of the word has a right to know how a countries nuclear power plants are being built and operated. Iran's secretive nature about their nuclear program is in violation of this idea. So other countries have a right to defend themselves against a possible nuclear accident.

Your correct that if Iran goals are completely peaceful, if Iran allowed inspectors to all nuclear sites, and complied with all safety concerns, then there would be little to worry about. But those are big IFs and they do not describe the current situation.

Nuclear inspectors !? -You've got to be joking me! We can't waste time this time around with nuclear inspectors. They are just way too slow. Quite frankly they try my patience. Why play games and slow down the process? We need to be more aggressive than that!

Here is the real truth...

Iran has Oil! It has the second largest oil reserve on the planet. The problem is they won't give it to us so easily and this will hurt our long term economic interest. We have tried for years to work with them diplomatically, but things haven't worked in our favor.

So now there's only one thing left to do.

The absolute best strategy is go into Iran and just take the oil as if it was ours. Just like we did in Iraq (and it worked!)

We need to create propaganda campaign that will have the world believing one thing, and then have the US use its military might and bomb the crap out of those stupid Muslims who think they can actually go against the will of the US. (Just like Iraq)

After the dust clears, you will see the US Army closely guarding the oil reserves and wasting no time building new pipelines to secure the oil. (Just like in Iraq.)

That's how you maintain your super power status.

(...and you were worried about their rights as a sovereign nation... pleeease ... as if that matters.)

Its no longer peacefull. yet that's no longer the actual issue, extremely some international locations have nuclear weapons that we are no longer paranoid of, yet Iran has a stated place that Israel shouldn't exist and that given the possibility Iran might injury Israel. that's what scares the U. S., being that Israel is an best chum. We pursued nuclear technologies and nonetheless do, we are the sole u . s . to ever drop no longer one yet 2 bombs. So for us to disclaim a rustic no longer our best chum to pursue nuclear is hypocritical and between the justifications we've a difficult time in international relatives. We additionally be attentive to that to flow to war could be a considerable war no longer purely a low point conflict like Iraq, so we gained't merely bomb them to rubbish. i do no longer choose for Iran to have a nuclear weapon, yet our considerable weapon, our militia we're not prepared to apply, and Iran is attentive to that. I worry that sanctions will purely serve to make Iran greater obdurate and desperate interior the long-term. The religous clerics fairly run that u . s ., no longer the reasonable common Iranian.

I think part of the issue is that Iran is so secretive about what is actually happening. This arouses suspicion, which is only increased by President Ahmajimedad's rhetoric about destroying Israel and waging jihad against the U.S.

Your suggestion about nuclear inspectors is not possible because Iran will not permit the inspectors to inspect their facilities.

Nope..
Iran is an Islamofaschist nation determined to arm itself and its
friends with nuclear weapons...
Some of these nukes can be expected to be used on the USA, Israel and Western European nations within a few short years.

Because the USA is lying about it and making it a big issue. It's the tactic they always use when they want to control a situation for their own benefit.
They have to build it up until everyone is convinced they have a motive to invade.
