The press and news media and others always site the First Amendment to stalk people, call them names and make up any lie they want to as their right when actually verbal abuse and stalking is against the law. It is made up of 45 words and none which cover the above happenings. Freedom of speech was not meant to allow hateful rantings about others period. Please look up what it says if you haven't for awhile.

many are seeing a lot of similarities between this election and the one in 1994... when the Republicans swept congress... except this time it looks much the same in favor of the Dems...

In a speech before the US Senate, Mrs. Clinton stated her opposition to the advancement of stem cell research on the basis that she feared that this would end in job and social discrimination based on genetic quality. Aren't liberals supposed to be the ones that would support that? Does anyone else think that it sounds like this queen of the social elite questions her genetic quality and possibly her fitness to hold her lofty position??

I'm just wondering. Taking a 2 week vacation to his Texas ranch every other month must be pretty stressful. And just think about being responsible for thousands of lives lost every month.

Poor guy.

I think that now a lot more people get killed in Iraq then during Sadam's time. So why don't we get Sadam back in power, get all US and British troops out of the country, and convince Sadam that the real enemy is Iran, that worked last time. This way we could solve 2 problems at the same time

Please read this article before answering.

I'll highlight a few points here
“The Montreal Protocol, which now has 189 member nations, is considered one of the most effective environmental treaties.”
“…replacement chemicals whose use has grown because of the Montreal treaty… are considered potent greenhouse gases that harm the climate — up to 10,000 times worse than carbon dioxide emissions.”
So the most effective envornmental treaty has contributed by bringing into use shemicals that are up to 10,000 times worse the CO2 from your SUV

Talk about unintended consequences!
If this is the result of listening to environmentalists why are we still listening?

Why are SOME (alot if you read some of these posts) Americans so harsh towards there fellow man? All I read is racist remarks regarding mexican people, gay people etc. I mean Canada has it's illegal people here as well but I would be embarrassed if I heard any of that crap. Canada has alot of East Indian and Asian people here but if they come here and work and make a living for themselves. All the power to them. As long as they are contributing to Canada. If they commit crimes then back you go. Someone tell me why SOME american people think they are on top and everyone else is below them? How can ALL mexican people be the same?

Has anyone ever heard of any Corporate entity not allowing there employee's access to there own Personnel folder? You know the file that has all YOUR information in it such a days you were ill, and the days you promoted and so on? This is a serious inqury because I have written and typed 4 seperate letters and have yet to view my file. I was told it was SSI.( Sensitive Secured Information). Which I know for a fact it is not. I will not say whom I work for. But you can guess it's pretty high up the chain.

I don't get why the more socially libertarian party is so authoritarian here.
I don't want to hear why guns should be banned or not. I argue that every day.

I just want to hear HOW it is more consistent with Democratic ideology than with Republican ideology. It seems like it should be vice-versa.
Also, aren't Democrats worried about the Republicans taking over the whole country by force? The Dem. party is so tiny and poor, the only defense against a Republican coup is armed people!

(FYI- in case you wonder about me, but I'm bound to post a separate question about THIS in the next few days, so wait for it, PLEASE:
I personally don't think they CAN be banned, because such a prohibition would be impossible if it were enforced without guns, and hypocritical if enforced by means of them. Someone [read: police, military, politicians' thugs] will always use guns to oppress someone else, and the only answers to that are either complying with something shady, getting shot, or fighting back)

Looking at the Dow chart for Bush's term from 2000, I was struck by the fact that it resembles a giant W. Closer analysis revealed that the Dow had reached a high on May 14, 2001. On May 26, 2001 Bush gave remarks after passage of tax-cut plan. The Dow began a long descent hitting it's low of 7,528 at the end of Sepember 2002. Sep. 26, Bush continued his fight against corporate fraud and abuse. The chart made a double bottom, forming the "W" on March 3, 2003.
March 22, 2003, Bush initiates Operation Iraqi Freedom finally ending the long slide in the Dow.
My question is this-Do you see a pattern in all this?
Has Bush left his mark?
