If you believe in your party, in what it stands for, in what it is trying to achieve, whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, then why do so many feel you need to lie, to distort the facts, to deflect the real issues, in order to get your point across?

Any politician who feels he or she has to distort the truth, to manipulate facts, to falsely accuse his or her opponent, to get elected doesn't deserve to be elected to anything in this country.

If you can't win purely on the strength of your platform your whole agenda is a sham.

It's simply immoral and we deserve better than this.

Greater tax revenues lead to more spending for the government programs that Liberals covet.

Instead, they continue to rant and rave at how "tax cuts for the rich" have led to greater deficits. Pure B.S. and typical propoganda from the left. Again, the facts say otherwise (check with the IRS). You have never understood how to mange tax policy and you never will. Learn from recent history.

I guarantee that the Dems will use lies about tax cuts in order to fan the flames of class warfare prior to the next election. The uniformed among us will follow them like sheep. Very sad indeed.

They live like royalty and have many free benefits as it is. Most of them draw more retirement a year than what I will in 15 or 20 years. They keep voting themselves pay raises and taking from the rest of us.Isn't this our fault for keeping them in office for so long?

Some media outlets seem to want to magnify all the problems the war in Iraq has rather than focus on the progress we have made. Are there problems? Obviously, but anyone with a brain can see that good things are happening also.

What do you think?

I find it interesting that so many of my friends and co-workers feel that the government or someone owes them something. They shouldn't have to pay or be responsible for anything according to them. What ever happened to working hard and personal responsibility? Should the government be depended on to take care of the all the needs of all its people?

We gave weapons and support to Saddam Hussein back in the 1980's? What was the thinking, if any, behind that?

Well actually...no. Not all of them. There are some really worrying opinions aired on Y!A. Please tell me you're not all so right wing. Are you really being invaded by massed hoards of the Mexican unwashed? Perhaps it's just a severe case of paranoia.

I think the best thing was to limit the amount of years given to welfare recempients. ALTHOUGH, this program should have gone years ago, It limits your ability to make money, to follow a dream. I would say enough is enough IM READY FOR A BLACK PRESIDENT.

So far the responses to "why should gay couples be allowed to marry" indicate that incest is not allowed because of the potential for birth defects . . . that assumes that marriage is about having children (which is not always the case in gay marriages). So again, why shouldn't two adult brothers/sisters/combination thereof be allowed to get married? I find it interesting that most people are opposed to incestuous relationships, but not so much to same sex relationships. Again, I'm a gay man and I want to marry, but I want to do so (if possible) in a legal way that doesn't allow for other forms of relationships. I don't think there's a way though . . .

In selling my car I was asked for a copy of my license and to sign "Power of Attorney". Is that normal?
I have sold many cars and never been asked for a copy of my license or to sign a 'Power of Attorney' form. Does this sound normal to anyone or does it sound like some type of a scam?
Thank you!!!
