im a huge fan of the threat alert system!
HA! i remember something happened...not sure what...whatever it was it was emberassing for the bush crew...almost immediately they raised the threat level in hopes that it would take the emperassment out of what happened. that was the last time i ever heard of the alert system...or from it.
they screamed wolf, no one listened. priceless!

1.) Iraq has weapons of mass destruction
2.) The War on Terrorism and Iraq are interlinked
3.) Invading Iraq was to free the people (invasion for oil and occupying a country)
4.) 911 united the country...(2nd election polarized a divided nation)
5.) George Bush is an educated man (got his diploma online or out of a cereal box!)

Bush's Mission Accomplished photo op was, if not exactly a lie, a horribly inaccurate, premature celebration just to make him look buff.

I can't speak for Dick but:
Best lies? There may be simply too many to chose from.
If we're including moral, as well a political, lies then you would have to include:
Shady business dealings that had to be covered up by Texas billionaire Sid Bass.
Failure to own up to the many drunk driving incidents and drug usage.
Never admitting that your Daddy pulled strings to get you pushed up on the Texas National Guard waiting list.
Knowingly lying about Ann Richards and distorting the truth to get elected governor of Texas.
Knowingly distorting facts about John McCain when running against the senator in the primaries.
The list just goes on and on ...
