A lot of us think you're arrogant and bent on world domination. And we get most of our milk locally as we have an abundancy of farms, and we get most of our gas from Alberta.....but nice try, girl who said that.
And we don't really feel indebted regarding a nuclear shield or missile defense system due to the fact we don't antagonize other countries, and therefore don't need to fear anyone. But that's what some of us think about America.
Americans, on the other hand, are probably fine people. The government is a few people among millions, therefore it's unfair to label each american due to what their country does. But yeah, I doubt I can intelligently enhance my argument further so I'll end here. Sorry if I upset anyone.

We undoubtedly have the most stupid bunch answering this question that I have encountered in a long time. What do Canadians reall think about the United States? How much of an *** can you be to ask such a question? Canadians are people whom have opinions on Americans, Englishmen, Germans, Arabs, Indians, Pakistanis and all people from everywhere.
Why would you think they would have any different thought on the United States than they do on the enviroment, global warming, and peanut butter. You can never get a consesus on such a question. You get individual responses from people of limited intelligence. Anyone whom responds with a "who cares" illustrated the ignorance displayed by your respondants.

Most Americans I have met are snooty, to into themselves and their polictics and their president..it's all about the US. I have one friend from the US who is the only one I have talked with that seemed normal. I dare not go in a chat room and tell them I am Canadian, did that once and the abuse was unreal. I shouldn't really judge all Americans and I don't honestly but even here on Yahoo Answers the remarks are down right rude towards us Canadians (just saw a few in Travel) I rest my case..after reading some of your answers

Now you've got my attention. Some Americans are loud mouthed, boorish and ignorant, but then so are some Canadians. Generally (as a Canadian) I appreciate my neighbour. (Note the spelling).

PS. Desertdiva is your typical example of ignorance. Canada produces more oil that US and sells it to them. As for milk - we raise more cattle that US, so get an education before you open your mouth.

desertdiva, we do not buy American gas and milk. we have more than we need here in Canada. we think that Americans are generally not well educated about anything but america. But you are generally nice people with really bad beer. Oh, and by the way, Ottawa is no more a suburb of Montreal or Toronto any more than Washington DC is a suburb of New York.

I don't know. I haven't had the time to ask them. But I did do some shots with some Canadian hockey players in Chicago one time. They didn't seem to dislike me. As for the rest of them who knows.

I fear it, the states seems to believe they have the right to kill others, poison crops of other countries, and impose their will on anyone, saying all the time that everyone should be "grateful for their protection" like a mafia movie! and the citizens eat up whatever they are told, it's a lot like pre-war germany!
