If you believe in your party, in what it stands for, in what it is trying to achieve, whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, then why do so many feel you need to lie, to distort the facts, to deflect the real issues, in order to get your point across?

Any politician who feels he or she has to distort the truth, to manipulate facts, to falsely accuse his or her opponent, to get elected doesn't deserve to be elected to anything in this country.

If you can't win purely on the strength of your platform your whole agenda is a sham.

It's simply immoral and we deserve better than this.

I don't try to. I have to rely on my experience and what I can find out. No one knows the entire truth and probably never will. Just like we just found out that the CIA did not believe their informer regarding WMDs, and that is all they had, pulled it out of Gen Powell's speech to the UN and it was put back in by another CIA official.

We had no direct knowledge of anything that led to the war in Iraq. All they had was Blix saying they could find no WMD's except some missiles that had to be destroyed, and were, and 1 person who was a known liar!

I don't know about you, but I would never put our troops in harms way over that lack of evidence!

because in order to deal with people you have to tell them what they want to hear, otherwise they are bullheaded and will not stand to understand where you are coming from. no one is opne-minded enough to actually listen to someones view and tkae time to review the facts and opinions of the other view and actually contemplate the truth behind matters, so the easiest way to get votes is to tell everyone what they want to hear.
