Question

So far the responses to "why should gay couples be allowed to marry" indicate that incest is not allowed because of the potential for birth defects . . . that assumes that marriage is about having children (which is not always the case in gay marriages). So again, why shouldn't two adult brothers/sisters/combination thereof be allowed to get married? I find it interesting that most people are opposed to incestuous relationships, but not so much to same sex relationships. Again, I'm a gay man and I want to marry, but I want to do so (if possible) in a legal way that doesn't allow for other forms of relationships. I don't think there's a way though . . .

brothers and sisters aren't allowed to get married because (even though we liberal don't like to admit it ) prejudice. That's the way its been. If you are gay and want gay marriage to happen, don't point that out. The public is leaning to supporting gay marriage, but not incest, because incest is more of a choice

Well, if you really look at sex from another perspective (no vulgarity or offense intended), when you are doing it, you are actually f..cking someones daughter or wife or sister or some such relationship. And that means that you are inserting something into someone else... The connotation here is that the person being fu'k d is the submissive weakling and the one doing it is the dominant, and alpha male.

Hence, in effect in incest whether gay or hetero, you are indirectly ***..g your own parents or some patriarch, through your own bro or sis or a close relation, which is repugnant in most societies.

Maybe I've answered your Q (I repeat some of the words are intentional, but with no intent to harm or hurt sensibilities, only such words are meant to explain, rather to stress the meaning of the sexual act when it is done in some contexts.)

The problem with incest is it is very hard to determine whether or not there has been abuse.

In most incest cases someone is being "taken advantage of" (to say the least)...so I think it would be irresponsible for the government to allow such a union without knowing for sure.

However, this begs the question the should a brother and sister separated at birth be allowed to marry?

To that I do not know...it seems more reasonable to me at the moment...but still...I'm not sure.

Although not for myself, incest sex to me is the biggest turn on in the world. My favorite genre of porn is young women with older women. Apparently I am not alone, there is so much porn for that fetish on the internet...
