Immigration - February 2007

I am an international student, with one more semester to go. I need money for next semester. My status only allows me to work on campus, which has a maximum of 20 hrs/week, I need more than that! That's why I want to get an off-campus job. I know this is wrong, but I have no other choice. Anyone know if I use my own SSN to work and pay tax, will anyone trace me down and deport me?

OK OK here is the question ....

how is it possible that anyone can believe a union between Mexico , the USA and Canada is possible ???

( mexico has wages which are ten times smaller than the USA wages )

using logic please explain how could that possibly happen with such huge economical difference ???

if anyone can provide the number of jobs which the new supper hwy will provide that would be helpful too ???

.... i was watching a video provided by an anti-immigrant and was really surpriced by this huge project , to me it seem like it will have the impact which the railroads had in the past in America . so i was wondering if is known the number of jobs it will produce ???


i know it will reduce a lot the cost of doing bussiness wiht both Canada and Mexico for the USA ...

Immigration law is civil, not criminal. The Supreme Court has stated repeatedly that because Immigration law is not criminal, the Bill of Rights does not apply to immigration cases. Things would be very different if it did. I'm pretty tired of people saying that illegal aliens are criminals due to their immigration violations. If you're going to call them criminals, then at least apply the Bill of Rights. You can't have it both ways.

Everytime I turn around I see places you can donate to help refugees, build schools in other countries for their children, etc..etc... Or American actors going to other countries to help out. Or American celebrities always adopting foreign babies. I have NOTHING against helping others out, but I just feel we need to get our own country in order first...what about children here in the USA that need homes, or the homeless in the USA, or people living in poverty in the USA, or all the people that can't afford medical insurance in the USA, I could go on and on. Just wondering if anyone else feels the same.

Why does the American left support the Mexican government's abuse of its population by supporting illegal immigration. Why do they support the Corporations that further abuse Mexicans by exploiting them for cheap labour? You would think they would push Mexico to stop their abuse of Mexican citizens human rights so they can live well in their own country! Instead the American left allows these illegal immigrants to commit crimes against the American people. I just don't see the rationale!

I think that americans are talking about so much stuff that they don't even know about. For example, i have been reading a lot of stuff about americans thinking that illegals have everything "easy" here but it is not true. I have a lot of friends who have suffered through hell just to try to live a better life here. And all that talk about 20-30 people living in the same house; well think of it this way if they would rather live under these horrible conditions then how bad do you think they had it before. I have been a witness to the horrible conditions they have to live through. Those so called anchor babies that americans talk about; I just can't believe how you just think that we should get rid of them. The parents just want their kids to have a better life.Most people would wish to enter the country legally but it is very difficult. I am not saying that anyone should come in here illegally. I am just saying that maybe we should make it a little easier to come here legally.
