I'm looking for requirements for a friend who has decided she wants to come across the pond and become an English citizen. What steps would she have to take in order to get her citizenship?

Applications for Citizenship

All applications received since 1st November 2005 need evidence of English language and of life in the UK.

We are processing new applications and already have new citizens who have demonstrated their knowledge of Life in the UK.

This is just a minor part of the Immigration process. There are many forms to fill out and can be downloaded from this site.
Google "United Kingdom+immigration" The page you come in to will have multiple items about British citizenship. The first one has a link that says "Apply" Hit this link and that will take you to many more requirements plus the ability to download the forms.

You can do most of the work outside of the UK.

The reason I copied this for you is that it is a good standard, and I wish the United States had this for a requirement!!!

God Bless and Help you :)

Claim asylum along with every other Tom, Dick and Harry... or
should that be Muhammed, Abdul and Ayatollah?

Sorry. Check out the link below for the Home Office website. All the answers you need regarding immigration should be on there.

Good luck to your friend!
