.. he might have been a good bean counter where keeping your nose to the grindstone matters, but there's more to being Prime Minister than sitting up all night with the paperwork. Let's face it, he's the most uninspiring, humourless, and hopeless leader we've ever had since Alex Hume.

Question asked by Johnny in Dalton Trumbo's movie "Johnny Got His Gun."

Johnny's Dad's answer was "It has something to do with young men killing each other, I believe."

Do you agree? Any wider interpretation of the word?

In England we just have regions, counties, county towns, towns, and villages. We just have a universal Law system not a system that has 2 types of Law Federal and State. When did the US start being different from dare I say "the old country". The immigrants took their life-style from their roots. Yet it got changed over the years. Why was that?

Thanks in advance.

OK, we've all heard about the theories regarding JFK's assasination: one of the saddest moments in US history. But, think of this for a second, which is something i've been thinking about. What if Oswald was really in cahoots with the communists, like russia and cuba, which is what a lot of pple really believed, and still do. Now, what if it came out, after he killed JFK, that he was directly tied to these countries, and they were actually behind the assasination!? While Lindon B. Johnson was swearing himself in, it is said that he and other officials were worried that "this assasination was merely the beginning of a full-blown communist attack". They were seriously worried they were soon to be attacked, as in nuclear war! Remember, this was the height of the cold war! Now, a few days later, Oswald was killed, and the legacy of what happened to JFK in the "public eye" was sealed. There was 1 assasin, case closed. What if L.B.J. and other officials did this to save our lives from ww3?

The U.S. Federal Government is in major extreme almost unsolvable debt, State governments sometimes go broke resulting in a shut down of services. So what happens when a state government goes bankrupt for a long period of time, say 6 months to a year? What if the Fed can't give grants, and loans to keep state services open?

enforcement priority. The initiative passed- 58%. Opponents of this initiative feared that public marijuana consumption would go up. However, this seems not to be what is happening. Arrests are down, money is being saved, and it doesn't appear that more people are now smoking pot. Washington's changes are now being viewed with seriousness and the door is opening wider to the discussion of the failures of the War on Drugs. What are your views on I-75?

answer with the point of view of a southerner, northerner, or westerner like you are writing to the congressman from your region and explain why (no more than 2-3 sentences) in the 1800s:

1. the federal government wants to make more money on foreign trade. A congressman has proposed increasing tariffs on all imported products.

2. the fedral government wants to improove travel in the US. A congressman has proposed building a new turnpike in the State of Kentucky with money from the federal government.

3. The US is interested in new inventions. A congressman has proposed spending federal money to research additional uses of the steam power.

thank you so much for your help!

Did any other president have plans like "Faith Based Initiatives"?

How many millions of dollars have been taken from the pockets of tax payers and put into the hands of conservative right-wingers by this?

How many tutors were not hired because the Churches found them to be "unfit to teach American History"?
