Even metal is on the way out. In the future it will be all done by electronic transfer.

Yes, as long as those coins actually contain something other than tin (ie. gold, silver, platinum).
Paper currency no longer has any value, at least coins are actually worth something.
A better system is bartering - where the parties involved decide what the value of things are themselves. In which case, a standard medium of exchange such as money can be substituted as desired.
"The central bank is an institution of the most deadly hostility existing against the Principles and form of our Constitution. I am an Enemy to all banks discounting bills or notes for anything but Coin. If the American People allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the People of all their Property until their Children will wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered." -- Thomas Jefferson

No. We should get rid of all of our currency and either convert it to an electronic crediting system or better yet pay one another through trade, services and favors.
Doing the latter would make life difficult for those in power as money would no longer have any value; their pillars would crumble and their empires would fall.
Too bad it'll never happen.

No, it costs a lot of money to churn out metallic currency and I refuse to walk around town with my pockets jingling from all the coins inside.

Absolutely not! That is one great perk about being an American, not having to carry around those 1 and 2 dollar coins all the time.

No! I hate having change rolling around in my pockets. The less coins, the better. Bills fit nice and neat in your wallet and weigh next to nothing. Coins just take up space and fill your pocket for not too much value.
