Federal Judges are appointed by the President, with the advice and consent of the Senate. They are appointed for life terms.
Bills that are not Vetoed or Signed by the President, in the proper time frame. They become law without a signature.

Federal judges may be removed from office in 3 ways, 1) retirement (at a time of the judge's choosing, any time after age 70),2) death, 3) being impeached and found guilty. The mechanism is set up to protect the non-partisan role they must play.
