I really want to know what you think is a fair amount the government should take, from each of the following people in income tax the following people :

John X makes 500k a year
John Y makes 75k a year
John Z makes 15K a year

I understand there are more factors, but tell me based solely on the amount they make per year.

I am not talking about a system in which the government owns corporations and distributes the earning equally, I am talking about the people themselves, all privately owning equal amounts of stock of corporations (legally unable to trade the stock however, because it would result in unequal ownership of stock).

I have a US Constitution test tomorrow in school and i wanted to find out where can i find a website that can tell me everything about the consititution meaning stuff like Legislative process, 3 levels of federal courts, legal rights of a person. stuff like that. where can i find it. i thought i would ask on yahoo answers because we have such intelligent people out there. Can anyone honestly say that the quality of care will be worth receiving? it will be much crappier than private plans for certain, and turn our health system canadian.

to make matters worse, it would be funded primarily by people who could buy better health insurance on behalf of those who can't afford insurance.

why aspire to provide crappy services? start an ngo or charity like any self respecting philanthropist, fund it through donations, and keep your hands off my money!

To what degree can a U.S. President "make law"?

(Could, for example, George Washington, invoked an "executive order" to free the slaves, or give women the right to vote, etc., claiming that to not do so would inevitably lead to national disruption (or that it's an inevitability?)
