No Way! One of our Presidents said it best. Beware of letting the Military take control. If they ever do; democracy is lost! There was a time when a President could not declare war unless the House & Senate approved. Those were the days! The politicians can do nothing to stop this war. They really have no power over this President. All anyone can do it agrue. Perhaps if enough complain; it will stop this man. I doubt it though. Today on the news I heard the military say perhaps seven more years! Help!

I think it is a "clusterfuck" (to quote Eastwood from Heartbreak Ridge. . .) - this war of Bush's. From the beginning it was done wrong. If the politicians would have left it all up to the military men, things would have gone far differently.
So now you think that the military should come in and bail Bush's @$$ out? I think he dug his own grave when he pushed out Colin Powell. There is a military man that was against this all from the start. I think if the politicians would have listened to the military in the first place, we wouldn't have gone into Iraq at all.

Bush is NOT even close to deserving a Hitler comparison.
The Representatives and Senators do not vote or act according to their constituencies wishes. Their egos will allow nothing less than "I am the man/woman to make these decisions."
I do know that the problems in Iraq WILL NOT be solved by Our Politicians. I don't think Bush can. It is up to the Iraqi people solve and to us to give them the tools and time that they need to do so.

I think the politicians should continue doing their job, which is representing the will of the people. A significant portion of the populace have concerns they want addressed. The politicians would be remiss in their duties (more so than they normally are) if they stopped debating the issue and exploring other options. Failure to ask questions and represent the will of their people would be the real teason, 007.
We could do with a little less partisan character assassinations, however.

its not a war that the US should have their fingers in. being big brother doesnt mean you always have to fight your siblings fights for them.
Saddam is gone, now get the hell out. let the Iraqi people sort their own sh!t out. as any government in power there will not be taken seriously by the people if the big USA holds its hand. get out and let them sort it out. what the hell would pushing for democracy do anyway? the cultural base of Iraq is foreign to the west, so we dont know whats really good for them.
nobody likes to be told by a neighbor how to live their life, and yet the US thinks its ok to invade and set up camp, and linger until the US decides to leave. get the hell out of other peoples sh!t, before you smell even more of it than you should.
It is not too late to accept that you fuked up, and move the troops home. that budget would be better spent fighting crime and cancer, or building childrens hospitals, than on bullets and wages in Iraq.

the troops will not fail,bush may. why does he criticize generals or the troops that feel he is wrong? who will he blame if he fails?
