Would letting drug dealers out of jail help society by allowing them to sell marijauna. By selling, in turn pay state tax on how much they sell and use that money (Millions of dollars) to build affordable homes, fix up schools, and contribute to local and state run programs. Giving hard honest workers a tax break.

They gripe that America is prosperous and powerful while their own pathetic nations lag far behind.

No one told them to embrace inferior economic and political systems, that was entirely their own fault. If they wanted power and prosperity, all they have to do is become more like the USA. It's not any huge secret how we do it. The recipe is there for anyone to see, it's called the US Constitution:

I heard that Bill Clinton makes a ton of money giving speeches, and speaking at various events. Is this what the other's have done as well...or are they well off, and taken care of by the government enough, to not have to worry about ever earning anymore money?

Here in the UK we seem to hand out benefits to all the assorted scroungers without too many questions.
Is it about time we tore apart and revamped the whole system.
Several examples:
benefits would be given only to those who GENUINELY need it. and for a limited period. too many spongers see benefits as a way of life
If your unemployed you get basic help for a maximum of 3 months then your on your own..Anyone can find a job, may not be your frst choice but there are jobs!
council housing should be emergency housing and tennants have a maximum of 18 months, the houses should not be sold to tennants either.
the more services you use, the more tax you pay.
I'm single with no children yet pay for schools, youth clubs etc etc.. yet there is not a single benefit to which i'm entitled.
the NHS would be revamped also, there would be the option to opt out of paying national insurance in order to go private or insured. Also N.I contributions would cover full dental and optical costs.
