I beleive it is, the bi-partisan system is more then broken. Does anyone else feel we need some MAJOR reform in this country?

Yes it most definitely is broken and beyond repair.

We have the ones at the top who control everything because money applied is power.

Then we have a class that doesn't actually fit into the controlling class but is wealthy enough that as long as they have theirs they don't care what the ruling class does.

At the bottom we have an ever expanding pool of expendable poor people that are allowed to be subservient and reproduce but that's it.

The US system of government works fine, when the people within it are working within it. The Constitution provides clear demarcations as to which branch of government controls what. But over 220 years, the people in the government have traded away, given away, legislated away, or ruled away that clarity to the point that any power is up for grabs.

The Constitution says that it takes a judge to issue a search warrant. So how can Bush wiretap without one?

The Constitution says that only Congress can declare war. So why can the President send troops to invade another country?

The Constitution gives the Supreme Court the right to determine if a law violates the Constitution. How, then, can they rule such that the ruling itself creates the law?

The Constitution says that any power not specifically granted to the Federal Government belongs to the states or to the people. So how can the Congress pass laws about education that the states have to obey?

Government COULD be so simple, if only you can keep greedy, egotistical people out of it. Unfortunately, those are exactly the types of people who are drawn to it, like flies to an outhouse.

Yes! America is up for the highest bidder ala Rome. We need the American Political Party using nationalism and American ideals to keep America free from being bought out by another country and Corporations.

We need to unite...if there was a march on Washington DC to preserve American rights that might be one way. Voting, while good, is not as effective. Why? Cause I believe both top Dems and top Repubs work together for Corporate America.

Immigrants are great for our country. But we need firm quotas so as to retain and not dilute our standard of living. We are fast becoming a 2nd rate country. Perhaps if we organize clubs/groups of determinded citizens in each state/county/town, we might begin to turn back the tide.

Throughout history, Nationalism has been used for good. Such as job creation, building bridges, putting unemployed to work and helping women.

Nationalism, you are either for Iraq, Israel or America. Pick one of those countries...and unite to fight for it! Or surely we ARE divided and will stay fallen.

It's not broken. We just need to give it a major overhaul. We need proper public funding of elections. Here in NC they made a start with the judicial races. It hasn't quite worked but that is no reason to give up. We just need to tweak the system. Of course the US system as a whole will need a lot more than tweaking but it is definitely worth fighting for.

I wouldn't say the system is broken, but there are a lot of things wrong with the people in those sysems.....and what is sad...the kind of people we need in our government just can't afford to get elected....they are not well known, they can't afford the airtime to become well known. Is the system flawed or are the people we elect in to that system flawed.....and even if we eliminate the parties officially they will still be there....people always tend to flock to like minded people....

No the only way it can be broken is when the people do not vote.
