Limbaugh strictly follows party lines so since the Regans were Republicans he is probably for it, but personally I could care less what he thinks. I never have really liked him and his vilification of Michael J. Fox for his excessive movements, which is normal for a person with Parkinson's disease, during his ad to support stem cell research only fueled that dislike. (We know from personal experience because my father-in-law had Parkinson's Disease)
He condemned him and made fun of him because he was supporting a Democrat.
He is just lucky he doesn't have Parkinson's disease; I bet if he did he would be singing another tune no matter what party was involved!!!!

I'm sure if asked he'd spout some crap about how Nancy's defaming her husband's legacy, etc. Here's a case of somebody who actually had to watch her once-vital husband deteriorate into imbecility before finally being killed by a disease this research could potentially help cure. I think she knows what she's doing with her quiet support, and I'm sure she feels she's doing the right thing for the right reasons.
To the person above - yes, the ban is only on government funding for embryonic stem cell research. But private companies DO fund their own reseach - it's just that government funding would vastly increase the infrastructure of laboratories and scientists and make the whole process much more efficient.
Yet another conflict in the "conservative agenda" - this time between the so-called "religious right," which deliberately confuses stem cell research with abortion purely to work their base into a froth before elections, and the "American imperialists," who ought to be alarmed at the fact that other countries are proceeding with research and leaving the US in the dust scientifically.

If he can mock Michael J. Fox, who knows what he'd say about the Reagans. Personally, I think Rush is a lonely man who is desperate for attention and wants to get everyone riled up.
Personal opinion: I think we should support stem cell research. If it doesn't work, then at least we will know and then find something to that may work.

No one has said any thing bad about stem-cell research as long as
embryonic stem cells are not used. Stem-cell can be found many places other than embryos. Do you have a clue on what your talking about. Rush came down on Fox because Fox did not know what he was talking about and tiring to say that my friends opponent wants to let me die and people like me. That is just bull.
Start reading here. You need to know what your taking about.

He probably doesnt think much, the issue with embryonic stem cell research, is the president doesnt want to fund it. Theres plenty of money being poured into it from medical sources, just not your and my tax dollars. And thats fine with me too, its shown no promise for any of the things the dem's lay claims too.

There is no ban on stemcell research. Only embryonic. If there is so much promise in this type of research, why aren't pharmaceutical companies doing it in the private sector? (I believe that's what he would say. I don't listen, but read about it in some magazine.)

What does it matter what Rush thinks of it? Wrong is wrong no matter who supports it. I will bet you President Reagan would never support such a wicked thing.
