Government - July 2006

[Selected]: All categories Politics & Government Government

I have not only looked upon the internet, but have also read. I have done researh and found that Our lovely government that is supposed to be for the people, are spending boucoup bucks on Nuclear weapons, not caring whom they take out. The very same weapons that They are ..'testing' can take out many many people if the wrong word is given. Why arent we protected?? Why is it We are spending MORE money on Nuclear Weapons then on Keeping Men Women and Children alive???

I think the Government of Philosophers is the best form of government, because there is no possible motive for corruption, whereas there is in all other forms of government, because they are led by common people rather than the extremely learned philosophers who understand the stupidity of using government for self-interests, money-making schemes, and to simply promote ones race or party supporters. By the way there is a big difference between philosophers and educated people, often educated people use government for their selfish agenda and more cleverly using their intelligence, but philosophers understand that in the end all foolishness is unveiled and how serious it is to solve the problems of society, or else they get worst and make the society weak in many ways such as division and corruption and the development of a culture of pessimism in the society leading to drug/alcohol abuse, jealousy and selfishness.

was issued both times. I never recieved them. So I called again. I filled out the paperwork so that an investigation could be done to track down who cashed the checks. I told them that I think the former roommate stole them. Four years later, I'm still getting the run around. I've called and sent letters to local and the main SSA offices. I had to fill out the paperwork twice about filing an investigation, then I'm told it's not in the system. Who can I contact now about the situation? Whether I get the back payments or not, I strongly feel that my former roommate and her boyfriend cashed those checks. My life was inconvienence b/c of that and I had a mino setback. I won't them to be punished for stealing from me. Since I can't get assistance from the SSA, is there someone above them that I can contact?

If we drop corporate and personal funding of political parties, and transferred that to tax funded, we will make all contributions equal. For example, if the 1 dollar you can give (or not give) to campaign finance every year was raised to 10 dollars, and it was automatically given to the fund, there would be enough to pay for all parties to run and finance their campaign. What would this mean to you? You'd be charged 20 cents more a Week in taxes, and Big business's and rich people could not buy influence with campaign contributions. Is this a huge change in your pocket? not at all. Could this affect the outcome and principles of campaigns and politics? Absolutely. This would take big business out of politics, other than lobbying, which would also need to be reviewed. Copy this question and post it again, and again, let's get this going. I will be starting a chain letter to get the word out as well, email me at Colvindesign@hotmail if you want to get it.

Just seems to me if we tell Saudi Arabia we'll only pay $20.00 a barrel, take or leave it and other oil importing countries follow suit, soon Sauid Arabia would have an excess of stored oil and the price would drop. ($20.00 was only a figure I used).

I have seen others insult people for asking questions here, trying to get answers, a valid reason for using this site. But what I dont understand are those who will insult, and attack people for asking the questions in the first place. Is this the American way, to attack someone for seeking answers to their questions? I dont think so. If a person has nothing constructive to add, or an answer to give, then they should keep their personal opinions to themselves. What are they afraid of? Surely a question cannot hurt them. But they act as if they have been hurt somehow by a simple question. Is their ego so shallow that all they can do is attack others for seeking knowledge? These are probably the same bullies who attacked students for achieving Honor Roll status in school. Far better to remain stupid, than seek knowledge, I guess. *Rolls eyes*

Look at the differant questions I have asked, and the responses that have come in. I was like many of the responses. I was willing to just sit around and let things be. Then one day, I woke up. I got sick and tired of hearing this and that about Our all wonderful government, ( as I thought it was, in My mind ) I was under the misconsception that the government was out to protect us. I was under the impressoin that the "plane" that hit the pentagone actually happened. I was under the impression that it WAS terrorists that happened on 911. The day I started studing, was a rude day for Me indeed. I have checked and rechecked. I havent allowed just one person to say..OH this happened and believe it. If that was the case, then I would have done no better than reading a tabloid and believing it. At first I bolted. I didnt want to beleive it. I understand why most people are just content. Out of sight, out of mind. If people dont believe Me, Why dont they just go look for themself?

U.S. Constitution - Article II, Section 4:
"The President... of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

Patrick Fitzgerald was investigating whether Bush was involved in outing Valerie Plame, which has been described as treason.

It is known that the White House was engaged in paying guys like Armstrong Williams to plant stories in the press. Many say it is a form of bribery.

Bush has admitted on national television that he engaged in electronic surveillance without getting the authorization of a court. It is considered a felony if a person intentionally "engages in electronic surveillance under color of law except as authorized by statute".

Therefore it may be said Bush has committed Treason, Bribery and high Crimes. And Iraq...?

What do you think?
