Elections - December 2007

[Selected]: All categories Politics & Government Elections

First off, I am an undecided voter...I have no idea if I am going to vote for Hillary. But it is amazing to me that Hillary is in the lead on every single poll known to man, but I have never, personally, encountered a Hillary supporter. As a matter of fact, I encounter the opposite...on a regular basis!

So, can the real Hillary supporters please stand up, and let me know you are out there...before I think this is some sort of media conspiracy! Let me know you love her, and why!

(and yes, I have the Slim Shady song in my head, now. lol)

so im going to guess that mean all amendments after 1804 being all of the founding fathers were dead by 1865 when the 13th was amended,

does that mean he wants to get bring back slavery , remove Citizenship Rights , take away the black vote and or anyone who is a decendent of a slave, the womens vote, term length, bring back poll tax , and not stop congress from raising their pay when ever they want?

now im just asking because he said i want to uphold the constitution the way the founding fathers meant it

so what does he really mean by that?

they can just check yes or no next to each issue....it would be a lot easier to follow than their debates and junk publicity.

I get my news from the Daily show and my conservative editorial content from the Colbert Report. I don't like politicians period from either side these days. My opinion that it is just a choice of which type of corporations you want to support. Since you can buy your way into the White House, Senate and Congress if you have enough money with either party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think there are more misogynistic people than there are racists. What do you think? AKA Hilary Clinton or Barack Obama? Do you think more people are likely to vote for a woman or a black man?

"The Truth About Hillary"? I just got done reading it. It was a read that I couldn't put down. It's scary facts about Hillary that are backed up by sources (except for a few anonymous ones). But, for the most part, all sources are divulged... Talk about an evil, power driven, cold woman. You've got to read this book if you haven't already done so.

It doesn't make sense. Bush's approval rating is at a all time low, the polls show the majority wants us out of the war, and the people elected a democratic house and congress for that purpose. Why are people supporting candidates that are basically following in Bush's footsteps? This country needs a revolution, but are people too scared to actually try for it? How long are we going to let the same chariade occur over and over again?

Im a registered Independent from NYC. I voted for Bush in 2000, Kerry in 2004.

I dislike Bush and Republicans. As a Nyer I voted for Rudy Guilanni as Mayor, liked him, even met him in 1999 and he was very nice to me, like a family member. I feel hes a hard worker and admire him. I like him the best out of all the candidates but how can I vote for a Republican who supports Bush?

On the other hand Hillary Clinton has done nothing for NYC, I met her once here and she was rude to me, would not talk to anyone. I feel she is fake and phoney and not to be trusted...
But she is not a Bush supporter..

What am i supposed to do and who do i vote for?

As long as the lunatic Chavez is in charge why would anyone want to live in that country?

Tomorrow is 'Voting Day' there. Everyone vote AGAINST Chavez's plans for big-time reform. Knock this sucker down a step or two from his pedestal.

He is quick witted, dignified, and projects great authority. I think he would put this country back on tracks and would be the best Commander in Chief we can ever hope for in a time of war (or wars).

Before you ignore what I write and just put "that's retarded" at least read what I say.
1. Only rich upperclass people can run for president de facto since it takes huge amounts of funding and connections just to run a campaign
2. In the actual election you can only vote Democrat or Republican, there are only 2 choices. Some selection. I find it doubtful that the views of all people in a country fall into one of two categories.
3. The ones really voting are in the electoral college. They're "supposed" to follow the will of the larger population, but it is not uncommon at all for them to go against it. Basically one person in the electoral college decided that all those other people didn't know what they were talking about and cancelled their votes.
4. If you vote democrat or republican, if your state generally votes the other way it won't matter since all of the electoral votes of a state go one way or the other. No democrat in texas has ever really voted.

The clear assumption in that comment is that illegal aliens are commit a lot of crime, and that not allowing them to cross makes a real difference, if this is true it is shocking. Because the media portrays illegals as law abiding humble people (other than of course breaking the law by being here.) Drug Trafficking is probably a large portion of the reduced crime, but I'm still interested does anybody know where his statistics stating that crime was reduced almost by half come from? What do you think about this issue?

Ok, he did good with 9/11 tragety. He did what he felt needed to be done during such a horrible event. However, that is not something that will win him the Presidential election. I think he knows now that he will have to come with something stronger than that. How about talking less about credentials here, and more about what your plans are should you get elected. I know past behavior tells a lot about the future, but none of these candidates who are running now have ever been President. So looking on the past to judge someones actions on the future dosnt always work. They might get elected and do something diffrent than when they were Mayor, Governor, Senator or Congressmen.
