I get my news from the Daily show and my conservative editorial content from the Colbert Report. I don't like politicians period from either side these days. My opinion that it is just a choice of which type of corporations you want to support. Since you can buy your way into the White House, Senate and Congress if you have enough money with either party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you Robert, Comedy Central is about the only impartial news source left. Fox News is so far out there they cannot be trusted to get anything right. I laughed myself silly when they stamped "D" over Florida congressman Mark Foley's name. Disowning their own for pedophilia. Hilarious!

I get REALLY scared when people say they get NEWS from Comedy Central. These people are comedians, folks..very funny but hardly qualified to make sure you're getting a good look at important political issues from an unbiased standpoint.

I will agree that CNN tends to slant left and Fox slants right but the real answer is: Listen to both and realize the truth is somewhere in the middle. As often as you can when politicians speak, try and find coverage of the FULL speech, not soundbites, then YOU make the informed choice not what the media select as "important". In the end, newscasters are just people who happen to have an outlet for what they feel s the most "important" aspect to the election battles but that doesn't mean they're "right" about it.

I wouldn't call the Colbert Report conservative. If you want conservative, listen to talk radio (Michael Medved, John Zeigler, Rush, O'Reilly) or browse the web (LGF, Malkin).

But, yes, the liberal-controlled press is no longer trustworthy. Just look at all of the "independent" questions asked at the CNN/YouTube debate. Every single questioner -- every one -- was a undercover hardcore left-wing activist. In most cases, a 30 second Google search would have turned this up, but CNN didn't manage to do it. Whups.

i watch both those shows and yes they do inform you while at the same time poke fun of the stuff. I really feel like I am getting the info with no BS (other than the jokes but those are obvious). I listen to Micheal Savage on the AM radio, he is really good too if you like conservative points of view.

God help us. I really don't care who anyone votes for, but this country would be vastly better off if most people at least understood the issues and knew where their candidate stands. The shows you mention are often funny, but they are hardly a definitive source to base your vote upon.
