The great thing about Ron Paul supporters is there are no defining age, race, sex or religious belief system that makeup is core consistency. This is in stark contrast to all other candidates, who rely on either Oprah or Pat Robinson, etc. etc. to attract certain sets of voters who don't vote for themselves. Paul supporters are just independent thinkers who have found a voice that is truthful and has excellent ideas.

I think because what Ron Paul is suggesting is a fresh start: lets get back to the Constitution and go from there. Young guys feel that the "system" is flawed and beyond their control. What Ron Paul advocates is a return to way of life where the government is not as intrusive in our lives as the older people have come to accept. I could go on. If you want to know his appeal, check out his website. RP is a man of rock solid principles.

I'm a young girl and after evaluating all the other candidates, I like Ron Paul very much. Republican or Democrat, I have almost never seen a candidate who is so honest and relativistic in his/her thinking, and who doesn't try to please the public but says the things exactly as s/he believes them.

I am not a guy but I like Ron Paul, I don't always agree with him. Paul is the only candidate serious about cutting down the size of government. But he will never win.

Because younger people have never experienced a competent government. Clinton and Bush Sr. were able to run fairly competent governments which actually accomplished their objectives. Younger people have only had the incompetence and cronyism of Bush 43, which is why they vote for RP.
Most of us look at Katrina and say "Katrina relief was a disaster, maybe we should fire the guy in charge."
Ron Paul people look at Katrina and say "Katrina relief was a disaster, maybe we should stop doing federal emergency relief."
Without understanding that government can work if the people in charge of it are competent, what else would they do?

I'm 37, definitely do have "life experience" and am backing Paul.
I've tried it the neo-cons way and don't like that road.
Big government is still big government when you're just spending the money on tanks instead of entitlements.

Well, libertarianism is generally very popular popular amongst young people and that is essentially what Ron Paul is all about. Libertarianism means socially liberal (government don't tell me what I can or cannot do) and economically conservative (government stay out of my wallet). Very appealing to young people.

The only reason Ron Paul is liked by young people is because Ron Paul will legalize Marijuana. Ron Paul is just another Pol Pot. Unfortunately I am still waiting for Ron Paul to explain how he will implement his ideas.
